Blood Oath: In the aftermath of the Battle of Culloden in 1746, Hughie MacKim embarks on a quest to avenge his brother's murder. Enlisting in Fraser's Highlanders and honing his skills as an infantryman, Hughie sets forth on a relentless pursuit that takes him through the harrowing landscapes of war in North America. He faces a daunting challenge - how can he trace the elusive men responsible for his brother's demise?

Our Land of Palestine: In 1915, amidst the British-Ottoman conflict in the Middle East, Major Andrew Selkirk's mission to protect the Suez Canal unveils a secret assignment: retrieving a Bengali spy and countering plans to rally Afghanistan and Persia against Great Britain. As he confronts the Ottomans and a vengeful German adversary, Selkirk leads his men through strife-torn Palestine, a land claimed by multiple forces, struggling with personal feuds along the way.

Windrush: Burmese War, 1852. Jack Windrush's aspirations to join the renowned Royal Malverns are dashed as he is instead commissioned into the despised 113th Foot. Determined to prove himself, Jack embarks with a small detachment of the 113th to join the British expedition. However, the reality of war shatters his illusions of honor and glory during the Rangoon attack. A fateful encounter with a renegade British soldier compels Jack to confront the true horrors of war, setting him on a profound journey of self-discovery.

In a small, spirited neighborhood where Jewish, Black, and immigrant communities live side by side, one humble grocery store becomes the heart of resistance, compassion, and unshakable humanity.

The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store invites listeners into the world of Chicken Hill, a vibrant enclave in 1920s Pennsylvania where the most marginalized find dignity, connection, and a sense of belonging. At the center stands Chona Ludlow—a fiercely compassionate woman who runs a modest store with fierce resolve and quiet strength. When a young Black boy named Dodo is targeted by authorities for institutionalization, the community must come together to protect him—risking everything in the process.

Told with warmth, wit, and profound emotional insight, this audiobook is a powerful testament to what it means to do good in a world that often rewards silence. It’s a story of small acts with big impact, of hidden heroes, and of a neighborhood that becomes a movement.

Marianna Marsham is a highly successful businesswoman. She has no time for the aristocracy and they don't understand her commercial world. She has forged a privileged, influential life on her own merits after suffering tragedy and no man will succeed in taking it away.
Darfield Buchanan, Duke of Iversleigh has long ago given up caring about the gossips calling him the Duke of Ice. All he cares about is raising his illegitimate son in a loving home. How he is seen by the rest of the world is of little consequence to him.
When he is forced to take notice of his new neighbour, he expects her to be an ancient widow. The beautiful woman he is confronted by sweeps away all his preconceived notions of how those outside of elite society live.
But Marianna' expectations of the Duke are very different to his for her.
    About the Author
Jill Darragh lives in the North Island of New Zealand. Born in Brighton, Sussex, she became instilled with an innate love of the Regency and Victorian periods from an early age. Visits to the Royal Pavilion, the old arcades, and five years living in a Regency terraced house all helped to colour her writing. Jill farms 83 acres with the help of a very noisy working dog called Nell and chairs a charitable trust which cares for an ancient forest park. She has written several novels and four novellas in the Iversleigh Chronicles series.

A train seems a very reliable mode to bring out the best in authors and sometimes the worst in their fictional characters. In this volume our narratives are usually set inside the carriage compartment where they are really are up close and personal with each other. All our authors need to do is to light the touchpaper and stand well back.
