ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK
Joyland by Stephen King is a coming-of-age story set in a small, run-down amusement park in North Carolina during the summer of 1973. Devin Jones, a heartbroken college student, takes a summer job at Joyland to escape his personal troubles. While working at the park, he becomes involved in the mysterious murder of a young woman, Linda Gray, whose ghost is said to haunt the park. Blending elements of mystery, supernatural horror, and emotional depth, the novel explores themes of love, loss, and the passage of time, all within the eerie, nostalgic atmosphere of the carnival setting.
