ABOUT THE ORIGINAL BOOK
Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy follows a young man's journey through the violent American West, in the 1800s. The story explores the brutal realities of the time through the kid's interactions with a dangerous group of Indian scalpers and a mysterious figure called Judge Holden. The book examines the nature of evil, the role of violence in human history and questions concepts of morality and civilization. The narrative is filled with graphic depictions of violence and challenges the reader to confront the dark side of human nature. The kid's experiences lead to a loss of innocence as he travels across a bleak and unforgiving landscape.
