Queenie Doyle ruled over south London gangland and her four daughters - Frankie, Mags, Sharon and Roxie - with an iron fist.
When Queenie´s death brings the Doyle empire crashing down, the sisters grow apart, - each taking a different path in life.
Eldest sister Frankie has a lot of love to give but her dreams have been stifled by being forced into becoming mother to the girls at just 18.
Crazy Mags committed the ultimate rebellion against her upbringing - by joining the police force.
Baby Roxie is living it up on the Costa Del Sol... but she leaves a string of dead men behind her.
Sharon marries Monty, an accountant and settles down to raise a family and to live a perfect life in suburbia - but her world is shattered when Monty dies in mysterious circumstances.
But is it an accident or murder? As the Doyle sisters pull together to find out what really happened to Monty they enter a world of drugs, dirty money and clean guns, risking their own safety to deal out their own brand of justice.
Because, when someone harms the Doyles, they soon realise that these sisters fight as one.

With his own car repair shop weeks from opening, John Tyler takes a temporary job to keep the lights on. At an old friend's urging, he joins a protection detail for pop singer Alex Anne during her hometown appearance. It should be easy money. It isn't.

When Alex Anne vanishes after her concert, Tyler doesn't wait for the official investigation to catch up. Something about the disappearance feels wrong, and he starts digging on his own. What he uncovers is far worse than a stalker or ransom plot. A ruthless trafficking network has taken the singer, planning to move her out of the country along with other missing women before anyone can stop them.

When the traffickers realize Tyler won't back down, they turn their attention to his weakest point: his daughter Lexi, who is in college nearby. With the clock ticking and a plane preparing for departure, Tyler goes on the offensive, prepared to take on the entire operation alone.

He's never cared about the odds. And he's not about to start now.

Two murdered girls, and no motive.
While skiing deep in Lake Tahoe’s backcountry, private detective Dan Reno finds the first naked body, buried under fresh snow. Reno’s contacted by the grieving father, who wants to know who murdered his daughter, and why? And how could the body end up in such a remote, mountainous location? The questions become murkier when a second body is found. Is there a serial killer stalking promiscuous young women in South Lake Tahoe? Or are the murders linked to a different criminal agenda?
Searching for answers, Reno is accosted by a gang of racist bikers with a score to settle. He must also deal with his pal, Cody Gibbons, whom the police consider a suspect. The clues lead to the owner of a strip club and a womanizing police captain, but is either of them the killer?
The bikers up the ante, but are unaware that Cody Gibbons has Reno’s back at any cost. Meanwhile, the police won’t tolerate Reno’s continued involvement in the case. But Reno knows he’s getting close. And the most critical clue comes from the last person he’d suspect.

Sample a moment of magic realism from the Red Book of Hergest:On one side of the river he saw a flock of white sheep, and on the other a flock of black sheep. And whenever one of the white sheep bleated, one of the black sheep would cross over, and become white; and when one of the black sheep bleated, one of the white sheep would cross over, and become black. Before passing on to the Mabinogion proper, Lady Charlotte Guest devotes Volume I of her compilation of medieval Welsh tales to three brief romances of Arthur’s Court. The centrepiece is the story of Peredur, the Dumb Youth – known elsewhere as Perceval, Parzifal, the Holy Fool, et al.This is the violent world of satin-clad knights and their clashing encounters, peremptory slayings of giants and cave-dwelling monsters – a world where love is as sudden and final as death.
