Summary

For the last few months Adam and his sister, Carla have been having a taboo affair. In lust and love they couldn't be happier. Their only concern is what would happen if their mother found out? Their fear becomes reality when Mom comes home early from work one day and catches them in bed together. As they expected Mom is upset, but not because they're having sex, but because Mom wants some too!

~~~~~ Excerpt ~~~~~
“Adam,” even in the one word he detected a tremble in her voice.
“Mom?”
“Kiss your sister.”
“Um, that’s kind of weird, don’t you think?”
“You talk about being in love, well seeing is believing.”
“But,” Adam was cut off by Carla kissing him.
Despite their mother being two feet away from them, Carla emitted a sexy sigh deep in her throat before kissing him harder. As had been the case since that first night, Adam was unable to control himself where his sister was concerned, and feeling his own inhibitions fall away, he returned her kiss with equal passion.
Carla’s lips parted, now roaming over his, and he couldn’t resist slipping his tongue between them. She eagerly accepted it, moaning quietly. Adam turned, cradling her face as their kiss deepened.
His heart beat faster and he was shocked to feel a stirring beneath the sheet. His mother was right there and his body was still reacting to his sister. Carla’s arms went around his shoulders and she pressed into him as her tongue darted into his mouth.
He could feel her hard nipples poking into his chest through the sheet, and his hands dropped to her shoulders, and over the warm smooth skin of her back.
Carla eased her lips back far enough to trace his with her tongue, a move that sent a shiver through him, before giving him two quick pecks as if punctuating her kiss. She leaned back, but kept her arms around him, and whispered;
“I love you, baby.”
The look in her gorgeous blue eyes, the soft smile that accompanied her words, and the emotion evident in her voice, made him swallow hard before he replied, “I love you too,” in a thick voice as he struggled to hold back his feelings.
Carla let her arms fall away and looked at Mom. He turned to face her and was stunned to see there were tears on her cheeks.
“That was…” he saw her throat work as she too struggled with her feelings. “Beautiful.”
“It was?” Adam winced when Carla punched him in the thigh.
“Yes,” Mom nodded. “I can see the love between you and like you said, I know it’s wrong, but its looks so right. The two of you are beautiful on your own, but together? Its…” she shook her head and wiped at her eyes. “Real.”
“It is, Mama.”
“Real, and unfair.” Mom lowered her head and Adam noticed her shoulders beginning to shake.
“Unfair?” he repeated, but next to him Carla rose from the bed, careful to keep the sheet wrapped around her.
She sat next to Mom, putting her arm around her.
“What’s the matter, Mama? Why are you crying? You still mad at us?”
“I’m not.” Mom kept her head down. “I’m hurt, and I’m jealous.”
“Jealous?” Adam said.
“Stop it,” Carla shot him a look. “You sound like a parrot.”
She put her other hand into Mom’s lap, taking one of hers.
“I know this is what you want, and you haven’t found it yet, but you will.”
“You don’t get it,” Mom raised her head. “I have to tell you both something.”
“You can tell us anything.” Adam encouraged her.
“When I came in, I was angry, but not because the two of you were together.”
“Then why?” Carla asked.
"When Your father left we promised we’d all be here for each other in every way."
“We’re here for you, Mom.”
“For me, not with me.”
“What do you mean?”
“What I’m saying,” Mom took a deep breath. “Is I want some too.”
    The Myths of the Maya - Cosmic...
    The Maya civilization, one of the most sophisticated and enduring cultures of Mesoamerica, flourished for thousands of years, leaving behind a rich legacy of myth, ritual, and cosmic understanding. Their world was deeply interconnected with the supernatural, where gods, spirits, and celestial forces played vital roles in everyday life. Through sacred texts, oral traditions, and intricate ceremonial practices, the Maya passed down their myths—stories that explained the origins of the universe, the struggles of gods and heroes, and the sacred cycles of time. These legends were not merely tales; they formed the foundation of their spiritual and societal structures, influencing everything from kingship to agriculture.
    At the heart of Maya society was a profound connection between myth and ritual. Unlike many cultures that viewed myths as separate from daily life, the Maya saw them as living forces that required constant renewal through ceremonies, sacrifices, and offerings. Bloodletting, a sacred act performed by rulers and priests, was believed to nourish the gods and maintain cosmic balance. Grand pyramids and temple complexes, aligned with celestial events, served as sacred theaters where rituals reenacted the struggles of deities, ensuring harmony between the human and divine realms. The famous Popol Vuh, often regarded as the Maya "Book of Creation," recounts the epic journey of the Hero Twins as they navigate the treacherous underworld, triumphing over the forces of chaos and death. This myth, like many others, reflected the Maya’s deep understanding of duality, rebirth, and the cosmic order.
    Deciphering Maya mythology has been a long and complex journey, shaped by archaeological discoveries, linguistic breakthroughs, and the resilience of indigenous communities.
    Fear Tactics - Using Fear to...
    Fear is one of the most primal human emotions, deeply embedded in the survival instincts of individuals and societies. Throughout history, it has been harnessed as a tool of control, allowing those in positions of power to manipulate others for personal, political, or financial gain. Fear tactics involve the deliberate use of intimidation, threats, and uncertainty to shape perceptions, influence decisions, and suppress opposition. Whether used in personal relationships, corporate environments, or large-scale governance, these tactics exploit an individual’s natural aversion to danger and discomfort.
    At its core, a fear tactic works by triggering the instinctive fight-or-flight response. When people perceive a threat—whether real or fabricated—they become more susceptible to external influence. Logical reasoning often takes a backseat to emotional reactions, making individuals more likely to comply with demands, accept misleading information, or make decisions that they otherwise would not consider. Fear-based influence operates on the principle that an individual will do whatever is necessary to avoid the perceived threat, even if it means relinquishing personal freedoms, adopting extreme beliefs, or placing trust in an unworthy authority.
