She's irresistibly drawn to Lennox, powerless against the yearning of her body and the longing of her heart.

Magic might have chosen Lennox as King of Dragon Kings, but it's a position he's never wanted. Until the day a new being arrives—and irrevocably changes his life. Ki is a petty thief. Her best friend wills her his solo-flyer-call it a space motorcycle: temperamental, fast as hell, and expensive to maintain. Any reasonable person would sell it to get off the street, but Ki isn't reasonable. Margot is a military vet at loose ends. She blows her entire back pay on a solo-flyer, a decision she instantly regrets. Margot meets Ki and thinks she's the sympathetic friend she needs when she feels most alone. Ki thinks Margot is an easy mark for food money. They're both right, but lunch leads to a joy ride to planet Ratana, where Margot is arrested by border control. With her street-smart skills, Ki enlists the help of Ratanese local Zuleikah, a bored rich girl who finds the idea of busting someone out of jail intriguing. Together, they rescue Margot but find themselves trapped on a hostile planet on the cusp of civil war. When Zuleikah proposes a daring plan to escape the planet involving the kidnapping of Prince Thane from his dreary role in the crumbling monarchy, the plan sets off a thrilling chase across the desert and into the farthest reaches of the universe, with the fate of our heroes hanging in the balance.
If they can learn to trust each other and the repo men, cops, and three different galactic governments don't catch them, the Galactic Hellcats might use their solo-fliers to carve a place for themselves among the stars.

You are about to listen to a book which will take you on a light-hearted trip. The journey is taken with good intention and high hopes, yet pervading its innocence and joy is an omnipresent threat. It is the eternal struggle between good and evil, and within your book it is exemplified by the enthusiasms of youth battling in concert with the wisdom of age and experience, to overcome an ambient and determined malignity.
Davy Pilcher will Journey with you on the trail to joyous times and wonderful places, both exotic and mundane. You will get down at Woodstock, join Napoleon on a trampoline, run in a panic through the streets of Paris, hoping to avoid the guillotine, and each of these experiences may be the final battleground.
Each outcome is framed by the Integrity of what the participants bring to the fray within their minds. Unwittingly, they promote and nourish either good or evil with the power of their intentions and suffer the consequences. If their heart is right and their goals are true, they may prevail. If anger, hostility and vengefulness guide them, darkness and decay will flourish and make an end to them.
There is an apocryphal story told in many ancient civilizations. The story is of two wolf cubs, and it is told by a grandfather to his grandson. The wolf cubs grow and mature together, one of them with the usual  roughhouse wrestling and tumbling, the other with vicious slashing and tearing. The grandson asks, “Which wolf will win?” The grandfather answers, “The one you feed.”

Those magicians circle like vultures waiting for the kingdom to fail. The king must get his son on the throne, preferably supported by a smart and well-off wife.
He holds a ball in his son's honour. Johanna has agreed to a dance. But the guests include a number of magicians who are not there for the festivities.
