Summary

Andrew Frost-Hall is technically the Duke of Glendon, even though he thinks of himself as a botanist first. He also hates flying. Unfortunately, he's on a plane right now, headed to a horticultural conference.

But handsome fellow passenger David provides a good distraction, especially when it turns out they're headed to the same destination. Even better -- or worse -- David has read Andrew's book ... and knows exactly who he is.

As Andrew and David discover a shared love of science and flowers, their coincidence of travel just might blossom into something more.

    Welcome to the Shifting Lands.

Silluka was born with only one arm and could never practice the exacting motions to summon the favor of the gods. Caught stealing, she is forced to test her powers or be branded an outcast. She fails, and loses citizenship to her village. In a fit of desperation, Silluka tries to steal a badge of citizenship from a mysterious elder, but instead, Elder Quilqi shows Silluka a different path to gain the powers of the gods, aided by an octopus-like technological wizard who worships their own eldritch divinities. Time is short for training however, because a new island is speeding toward the coastal town, throwing deadly hurricanes and tidal waves before it and threatening all who live there.

Only the gods and godlike storm warriors protect the village from destruction, but all of them fail when a mysterious creature bursts through the wall. It's only one forerunner for a species of terrifying turtlemen: fast, deadly, and ready to invade the larger island. The village must flee inland before the invasion, while Silluka is weighed down by her outcast status and her brother's failing abilities. To save herself, her family, and her village, Silluka must overcome stigma and self-doubt. She must learn the scope of the world outside her village. She must learn Physical Magic.

    Kennedy
I’ve always been the relationship guy.
I love big, hard and fast … but unfortunately for me, that’s the quickest way to make a new romance crash and burn.
Moving to Wilde’s End, our not-so-abandoned town, is exactly the fresh start I need. What’s better than a town in the middle of nowhere and long days of hard work to swear off relationships? At least that’s what I think, until I meet Ziggy.
He’s the town electrician who has a weird habit of making sparks fly whenever I’m around him. He’s cute, snarky, and his piercings are hot as hell.
Too bad I don’t trust myself not to make the same mistakes I always do.
    Ziggy
I’ve always been the weird loner. The strange kid who doesn’t talk.
So when Kennedy shows up in my life, with his big energy and sunny personality, I don’t know how to take him. I’m used to being the invisible shadow that goes unnoticed in the Wilde.
    Kennedy makes me feel seen.
He doesn’t expect me to talk when the voices in my head get too loud, he doesn’t expect me to be funny or witty or anything that I’m not. He’s happy just to be around me, and that’s not something I’ve experienced before.
He’s sworn off dating. And I’ve never so much as been kissed.
But with the sunshine he brings to my life, it’s impossible to feel like a shadow anymore. I’m determined to win him over, no matter what it takes.

For Otho Newcomer, the small village of Snowmelt is a haven from his old life. If he isn't exactly a changed man, he at least hopes to keep his distance from all those easy romances, and the inevitable heartache and disappointment that always follow.

Mason Dager is an idiot. His ex has cleared out his bank account, sold his car, and got him thrown out of his apartment. And he has no one to blame but himself. But what better way to celebrate a new chapter in his life -- one that includes homelessness and the humiliation of telling his family they were right all along -- than to spend Christmas at a swanky winter resort like River Cove? It's already paid for, after all.

When a very drunk Mason makes yet another dumb decision, Otho comes to the rescue, throwing the men together during the most magical time of the year.

What should be the wrong choice for both of them might be exactly what they need. They'll just have to survive a nosy best friend, an asshole of an ex, and the scars of their pasts if they hope to find something together.

    Mahu Investigations 1-3
Mahu, Mahu Surfer, and Mahu Fire
Follow openly gay Honolulu homicide detective Kimo Kanapa'aka through three gripping mysteries set against the backdrop of paradise. In Mahu, Kimo confronts his sexuality while investigating a murder that threatens to expose his deepest secrets. Mahu Surfer sends him undercover on Oahu's North Shore, where he must lie to everyone he loves to catch a killer targeting surfers. In Mahu Fire, a bombing at a gay marriage charity event launches Kimo into a deadly investigation of religious extremism and anti-gay violence, while sparking a passionate romance with fire inspector Mike Riccardi.
This award-winning series combines exotic Hawaiian settings, authentic surf culture, and aloha spirit with hard-boiled detective work and deeply personal stakes. Lambda Literary Award finalist Neil S. Plakcy has created an unforgettable hero who fights crime while navigating the complexities of coming out in a macho police force. Fast-paced, intricately plotted, and surprisingly moving, these mysteries are as much about discovering oneself as catching killers.
