Summary

Once upon a time, Jeffrey fell in love with his best friend, Tamlin.
Jeffrey may work at Storyville bookstore, but he doesn't believe in happy endings -- not for himself. Tamlin is princely by nature, a heroic pure ray of sunshine. Jeffrey is an irascible grumpy cat, who would likely be cast as a villain's henchman. He knows Tamlin deserves someone far better; another prince, who will someday sweep him off his feet and carry him off into the sunset. His tenuous acceptance of the platonic status quo is shattered when Tamlin confesses he has a crush on someone. Who is this 'friend' Tamlin is romantically interested in? Can he convince Tamlin to banish them to the friend-zone, and consider dating Jeffrey instead?
Once upon a time, Tamlin fell in love with his best friend, Jeffrey.
Tamlin foolishly confessed to Jeffrey that he had a crush on a friend. Jeffrey's instant response was it's better to keep things platonic. Jeffrey must have figured out that the 'friend' is himself, and he let Tamlin down gently. How can Tamlin get over his romantic feelings, somehow put Jeffrey back in the friend-zone? And why did Jeffrey just ask him out, after he turned down Tamlin's same request?
It will take three copies of a cult classic fantasy novel, two bungled love confessions, and one meddling famous author, to get Jeffrey and Tamlin to realize that happy endings aren't just fictional -- they can be made real, if they properly use their words.

Thomas East was meant to be the youngest Arch-Mage in history, a magical genius and a solver of problems. But he hadn't expected quite so many problems -- not to mention the endless meetings, bureaucracy, and political negotiations. So he's currently hiding in a sleepy California seaside town, working in an ice cream parlor and avoiding everyone he's let down ... until a firebird in need of rescue crashes into his shop.
Nicholas Incandesco has far too many problems. He's a firebird, a shapeshifter, and a power source, and a lot of magicians could use someone with his gifts. He's also technically a murder suspect with two magical bounty hunters on his trail. He just wants someplace safe to land, and the attractive witch behind the ice cream counter might offer a sweet refuge.
This encounter might be exactly what both Nicholas and Tom need to find themselves ... and rescue each other.

Charlie Renfrew is too busy and too broke for a love life. There's no room in a schedule crammed with university, a full-time job, music, and his very committed relationship with overthinking. Hence the dating ban. Which is exactly when Ben Campbell shows up with his piercings, quirky knits, and indie rock fame. But maybe it's time for Charlie to trade caffeine for something hotter, blonder, and completely out of his comfort zone.

Gorgeous, funny men don't happen to Charlie. Not like this. Even if it's ill-timed and too bloody complicated. But maybe a quick shag won't hurt . . .

Sex might be easy, but being vulnerable isn't. Not for Charlie, his anxiety, or his precarious stack of responsibilities. It would be so easy to fall into Ben's world of cozy, snowy London where there's love and sex and possibilities. But Charlie already knows what happens when he goes off course. Not to mention the consequences. And when the snow melts, he'll have to put his heart back into a deep freeze . . .
