Summary

"Code With AI" offers a comprehensive exploration of how artificial intelligence is revolutionizing software development, providing developers with practical strategies to enhance their coding workflows through AI integration. The book bridges the gap between traditional programming practices and modern AI-assisted development, focusing on three crucial areas: code generation, intelligent debugging, and automated optimization.

Through a structured approach, it guides readers from basic AI-coding interactions to advanced integration techniques, making complex concepts accessible to developers at all skill levels. The book distinguishes itself by combining theoretical understanding with practical implementation, supported by real-world case studies from major tech companies and empirical data on AI tool effectiveness.

It addresses critical aspects of AI-assisted development, including the setup of AI-enhanced environments, creation of effective prompts, and development of hybrid workflows that balance human expertise with AI capabilities. Rather than speculating about future possibilities, the content remains grounded in current, proven technologies that developers can implement immediately.

Moving from foundational concepts to advanced applications, the book progresses logically through chapters that cover the mechanics of AI coding assistants, workflow integration strategies, and optimization of human-AI collaboration. It maintains a balanced perspective on important considerations such as ethical implications, code quality, and security concerns, while providing actionable insights for professional developers and technical team leaders looking to modernize their development processes.

Summer, Year-Round… On the Moon is a gripping exploration of humanity’s boldest leap yet—creating life where none existed before. Combining cutting-edge science with visionary engineering, this book takes readers to the Moon, where builder bots and high-intensity heat generators transform the barren lunar surface into a thriving off-world resort. From extracting water and producing hydrogen to crafting tunnels and domes beneath the Moon’s crust, the narrative captures the awe and challenges of turning ambition into reality. As domes rise and oxygen flows, new questions emerge: What is the cost of taming a world that never belonged to us? Blending science fiction with real-world possibilities, the story highlights humanity’s resilience, ingenuity, and the delicate balance between progress and respect for the unknown. With themes of collaboration, survival, and the desire to thrive beyond Earth, Summer, Year-Round… On the Moon is a thrilling testament to both the power and fragility of human ambition.

Though the Spanish physically conquered them in quick fashion, the culture and legacy of the Inca Empire has continued to endure throughout the centuries in both Europe and South America, due in no small part to the fact they were one of the most advanced and sophisticated cultures on the continent. Like the Aztecs, the Spanish burned much of the Inca’s extant writings, but it is estimated that as many as 35 million once fell under their banner, and the empire’s administrative skills were so sharp that they kept accurate census records. Their religion, organization, and laws were also effectively centralized and tied to the rulers of the empire, and their military mobilization would have made the ancient Spartans proud. After the Spanish conquest, several rebellions in the area attempted to reestablish the proud Inca Empire over the next two centuries, all while famous Europeans like Voltaire glorified the Inca Empire in optimistic artistic portrayals.
The sun was the main element present in the Inca worldview, so Inti, the sun god, was worshipped above all others and, even though the different parts of the empire were allowed to practice their individual beliefs, they were encouraged to venerate the sun. The connection with the sun even extended to their kings since they were considered to be the sons of the sun. Naturally, this meant astronomy was a key component of the Incas’ beliefs, and in addition to the sun, the Inca observed the moon, stars, constellations, and some planets, all of which became integral parts of their cosmology. The Cusco Valley was the heart of the Inca Empire, and many of the Inca's settlements have been found to contain important astronomical elements, providing clear evidence of the importance astronomy had among the Inca.

Thin Places - A Natural History...

Kerri ní Dochartaigh was born in Derry, on the border of the North and South of Ireland, at the very height of the Troubles. She was brought up on a council estate on the wrong side of town—although for her family, and many others, there was no right side. One parent was Catholic, the other was Protestant. In the space of one year, they were forced out of two homes. When she was eleven, a homemade bomb was thrown through her bedroom window. Terror was in the very fabric of the city, and for families like ní Dochartaigh's, the ones who fell between the cracks of identity, it seemed there was no escape.

In Thin Places, a luminous blend of memoir, history, and nature writing, ní Dochartaigh explores how nature kept her sane and helped her heal, how violence and poverty are never more than a stone's throw from beauty and hope, and how we are, once again, allowing our borders to become hard and terror to creep back in. Ní Dochartaigh asks us to reclaim our landscape through language and study, and remember that the land we fight over is much more than lines on a map. It will always be ours, but—at the same time—it never really was.
