Summary

Anyone who has ever wanted to have their own online business and make big bucks is going to love Etsy. Etsy is perhaps the most perfect online platform to sell handmade items, vintage items (20 years or older) and craft items. This makes it ideal for those who hoard craft supplies and those who have a lot of vintage items or great handmade items to sell!
It is not overly complicated to set up an online Etsy shop and it is easy to get going. If a person has an Internet connection then all they need are the following: a few great detailed pictures of the items that are for sale, a paypal account (in order to accept payments via paypal this account is required), this book, and a determination to be successful.
Why should someone choose Etsy as their sales platform? There are a variety of reasons including the fact that the person does not have to actually own a website and maintain it on their own website. Etsy is a website within a site that allows users to create their own shops and sell directly from Etsy without the costly overhead of running one’s own website.
Many great businesses have started on Etsy and gone on to make their shop owners a small fortune. It takes a determination and will power but it can be done - and this book will teach you how! Good Luck!

Twenty-three essays examining the biophysical and the historical and contemporary stories of water’s impact on communities throughout Kentucky. Home to sprawling Appalachian forests, rolling prairies, and the longest cave system in the world, Kentucky is among the most ecologically diverse states in the nation. Lakes, rivers, and springs have shaped and nourished life in the Commonwealth for centuries, and water has played a pivotal role in determining Kentucky’s physical, cultural, and economic landscapes. The management and preservation of this precious natural resource remain a priority for the state’s government and citizens. In this generously illustrated book, experts from a variety of fields explain how water has defined regions across the Commonwealth. Together, they illuminate the ways in which this resource has affected the lives of Kentuckians since the state’s settlement, exploring the complex relationship among humans, landscapes, and waterways. They examine topics such as water quality, erosion and sediment control, and emerging water management approaches. Through detailed analysis and case studies, the contributors offer scholars, practitioners, policy makers, and general readers a wide perspective on the state's valuable water resources.Praise for Water in Kentucky “Simply outstanding! Water in Kentucky offers an exciting close-up view of what happens to the water that falls on the Commonwealth. You’ll be fascinated by the many innovative projects your neighbors are implementing to clean polluted runoff and to restore attractive wetlands and streams. This volume will guide you in taking action to improve water quality in your community for the benefit of people, plants, and wildlife.” ―Thomas R. Biebighauser, author of Wetland Drainage, Restoration, and Repair “This collection of 23 essays expertly covers the intricate relationship between water and our daily lives. These essays could easily serve as springboards for conversation in conservation and policy implementation for the future. This book stands as an important addition to the study of water resources in Kentucky.” ―Kentucky Libraries “A labor of love and a remarkable example of persistence and commitment by its editors Brian D. Lee, Daniel I. Carey, and Alice L. Jones, and a wide variety of invited contributors. This book goes a long way toward weaving together many perspectives to create a better overall picture of the relevance of water in Kentucky.” ―Groundwater

Everything you never knew about sushi—its surprising origins, the colorful lives of its chefs, and the bizarre behavior of the creatures that compose it.

Trevor Corson takes us behind the scenes at America’s first sushi-chef training academy, as eager novices strive to master the elusive art of cooking without cooking. He delves into the biology and natural history of the edible creatures of the sea, and tells the fascinating story of an Indo-Chinese meal reinvented in nineteenth-century Tokyo as a cheap fast food. He reveals the pioneers who brought sushi to the United States and explores how this unlikely meal is exploding into the American heartland just as the long-term future of sushi may be unraveling.

The Story of Sushi is at once a compelling tale of human determination and a delectable smorgasbord of surprising food science, intrepid reporting, and provocative cultural history.

December of 2018 marked a largely unprecedented victory for cannabis. The 2018 Farm Bill passed, and, with it, hemp became legal. What the federal government listed for decades as a schedule 1 narcotic was finally classified as an agricultural crop, giving great promise to the rise of a new American hemp industry.
Filled with catchall research, American Hemp examines what this new domestic crop can be used for, what makes it a superior product, and what made it illegal in the first place; the audio book also delves into the many health and medical benefits of the plant. Hobbs weighs in on how hemp can improve existing industries, from farming to energy to 3D printing, plus how it can make a serious impact on climate change by removing toxins from the soil and by decreasing our dependence on plastics and fossil fuels.
American Hemp lays out where we are as a nation on expanding this entirely new (yet ancient) domestic industry while optimistically reasoning that by sowing hemp, we can grow a better future and save the planet in the process.
