From award-winning author Katryn Bury of the Drew Leclair series, this hopeful coming-of-age middle grade novel follows the unlikely friendship between Sam, a recent cancer survivor, and a popular girl at school as they come together on a quest to uncover the truth about alien life in honor of Sam’s best friend’s final wishes. This powerful story of friendship and grief is a gentle reminder that we are never alone in the universe.
Sam Kepler Greyson doesn’t want to be the “cancer kid.” After losing his best friend and fellow UFO enthusiast, Oscar, to brain cancer, Sam wants to focus on anything but his own cancer—maybe even a normal year of middle school.
But whispers in the halls and lingering grief over Oscar make Sam’s return much harder. To make matters worse, he is paired with popular girl Cat for a history project. Between Cat’s icy attitude and troubling rumors that Sam lied about having cancer, nothing seems to be going well.
Things start to look up when Cat and Sam unexpectedly bond over the UFO obsession he once shared with Oscar—but Sam isn’t sure he’s ready to open up to someone again. With the chance for a fresh start within reach, he worries that coming clean about his illness will only make Cat pity him. Hiding the truth also helps Sam avoid the biggest worry of all: What if his cancer comes back?
“Bury writes about grief and being a survivor with honesty and humor in this captivating mystery that explores friendship and the power of believing.” —Jennifer Chambliss Bertman, New York Times bestselling author of the Book Scavenger series and Sisterhood of Sleuths
“Katryn Bury is a master of middle grade voice. A powerful, heartfelt exploration of loss, grief, and friendship. I absolutely loved it.” —Micahel Leali, award-winning author of The Civil War of Amos Abernathy and Matteo

“Bury expertly balances humor and heartache as Sam’s story explores grief, new friendships, and starting over, but it also celebrates enticing mysteries of the unknown in a way that is sure to engage readers. A quietly powerful novel.” —A. J. Sass, award-winning author of Ellen Outside the Lines and Ana on the Edge

Young victor frankenstein and his creations
Book 4 of 6 – stella spark lights the way – the seaside adventure
summary of this fourth book in the series is as follows::
Victor Frankenstein and his creations visit Pebblecove for the Midsummer Night Boat Parade, only to discover the lighthouse is broken. Stella Spark, Victor’s star-shaped creation, volunteers to replace it with her luminous glow. During the parade, a sudden storm endangers the boats, and Stella pushes herself beyond her limits—emitting one final, brilliant flash to guide them safely home before fusing out completely. Victor revives her, and she awakens with a dazzling new ability to project rainbow-colored light. The villagers celebrate Stella as a hero, and Captain Barnacle gifts her a prism to enhance her radiant displays. The adventure proves that Stella’s courage and self-sacrifice have made her light stronger than ever. As they rest by the shore, Victor reflects on how his creations continue to grow and surprise him, just as he grows alongside them.
The initial opening credit is operatic in style with both male and female vocals paying homage to the late 18th century when victor lived and runs to approximately 3 minutes. The closing music has both an element of classic and current music to add a bit of excitement to the end for the listening children.
The story and music itself runs to just under 40 MINUTES and is narrated in the voice of claire francis, my wife.
I do hope you enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come

Yes, this is another wonderful OZ book with all the old familiar characters and some new delightful ones. The Patchwork Girl, a free spirit if ever there was one, is brought to life in this story and then sets out into the wonderful world of OZ to help her friend Ojo find the ingredients for a magic potion to save his Uncle. The five things they need are strange and the places and people they meet along their journey are sometimes dangerous and sometimes funny but the Patchwork Girl always finds humor and fun in all of them. They are accompanied by the Glass Cat who is stuck up and arrogant because of her good looks and 'pink brains'. Another fun book well written by Baum and worth listening to by fans of OZ from 7 to 107

    Mars the Warning
    Book 1 of 6 – The Awakening.
    This completely new story I have written as summarized;
In 2050, humanity sends androids, the Ares Knights, to terraform Mars as Earth dies. Equipped with cloaks, fusion tridents, and plasma chain weapons, they begin transforming the planet. Unit K-27, Kael, investigates strange seismic activity and discovers a vast underground chamber with glowing crystalline structures. It encounters a Martian being, ancient and intelligent, which warns, “You do not belong here.” Kael ignores the warning, but its systems are overwhelmed. Back at Outpost Alpha, humans lose contact with the androids. The Martians, awakened by the intrusion, prepare to defend their home. The stage is set for an epic conflict.
This is just one of six audiobooks in the series, the others will be in the very near future and I do hope you enjoy this first one, and its only $3, all subsequent will remain at that price as I would not like price to be a barrier to your enjoyment.
I have worked very hard and meticulously to provide you with an enjoyable experience, the initial opening credit music which does run to approximately 2 plus minutes sets the scene, so to speak, this is heavy metal first but give it a chance and you will be surprised (I felt the martian beings would be extremely angry over humans trying to steal their planet hence the sound) ends with a warning sound music track like an alarm as the next episode will see them emerge to do battle, 2 minutes plus.
The story itself runs to about 9 minutes and is narrated in my own voice.
Here are the chapters and parts of the story:
Mars the Warning Book 1 of 6 – The Awakening
       Part 1: The Awakening
        The Ares Knights
     Unit K-27: Kael
     The Cavern
     Outpost Alpha
     The Martians
I do hope you and your family, if applicable, enjoy this audiobook and let me know what you think, there are a lot more to come!
