Summary

The Wyvern Mystery combines all the elements of nail-biting horror, romantic fairy tale, psychological thriller and rich period drama to create a compelling story. When young Alice Maybell is orphaned she is taken in by Squire Fairfield, a widower with two dashing sons, Charles and Harry. As Alice blossoms into a beautiful young woman she attracts the attentions of not one but two of the men she lives with. The blissful happiness that ensues, however, is short-lived as she finds herself embroiled in the dark secrets of the Fairfield family's past and the evil ambitions of its present. In a world that is nightmarish and malevolent, nothing and no one is quite what they seem. What is the dark secret in Charles Fairfield's past? Who - or what - is the malignant presence that haunts Carwell Grange?

The later novels in the series move away from Barchester itself but 'Barchester Towers' is very much a sequel to the first book ‘The Warden’, which is also available from Librivox. The old bishop dies, the archdeacon, Dr. Grantly fails to succeed him and a new bishop, Dr. Proudie is appointed. Dr. Grantly gains a worthy foe, not the new bishop but his wife, Mrs. Proudie, strict sabatarian and power behind the Episcopal throne together with the bishop’s chaplain, Mr. Slope.John Bold is also dead and Eleanor, now a wealthy young widow sets clerical hearts fluttering. The new bishop must deal with the wardenship of Hiram’s Hospital. Will it go to Mr. Harding? All is to play for. Then the old Dean dies and the stakes are raised. (Summary by Andy)

The only thing worse than an assassin is a zombie assassin.
That's what I find myself up against when a celebrity hypnotist turns up dead on Christmas. Except this killer is no ordinary zombie, and I should know. The name's Cisco Suarez, and besides being the Miami Police Department's resident supernatural consultant, I'm a practicing necromancer.
With a series of murders threatening to reveal the existence of magic, anti-animist militias capture the public heart. The streets are rife with unrest and vigilantes that aren't me.
To add to my growing list of distractions, a tenacious FBI agent swears I'm the infamous Shadow Man and uses increasingly hostile tactics to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, my girls Fran, Darcy, and Milena all find themselves in existential trouble.
Against all that, I still have a killer to find. So I enlist the help of a curious dog, dig up an old grave, and tie the zombie's origins to the Twelve Days of Christmas. Talk about holiday cheer.
Is it Christmas season or hunting season, and who's hunting who?
If you like Jim Butcher, Shayne Silvers, Steve McHugh, or John Conroe, then you are going to love Domino Finn's contribution to the smart-talking MC that's perpetually stuck between a rock and a hard place.
    What listeners are saying:
⚡⚡ "Black Magic Outlaw is a standout in a world of lookalikes." ⚡⚡
⚡⚡ "Cisco is a tattooed, necromancing, shadow-morphing, 'Live and Let Die' meets Jack Reacher kind of guy... only better." ⚡⚡
⚡⚡ "Action junkies will love this series." ⚡⚡
⚡⚡ "Jason Bourne meets urban fantasy. Good pace, engaging lead, and fresh mythology. Loved it." ⚡⚡
