Summary

'Courage' is a commencement address delivered by J. M. Barrie to the St. Andrews University graduates in 1922. Barries is best-remembered today for writing Peter Pan. In his speech, Barrie advises the students to not be afraid to do better than "the greats" before them who have committed wrongdoings, and to hold onto their aspirations. However, he also reminds them that everyone will eventually be held responsible for their actions.

Nothing But Wickedness delves into society's subtle—and some not so subtle—transgressions that contribute to the decline of our culture. Theodore Dalrymple, drawing on his extensive experience as an inner-city GP and prison psychiatrist, examines the underlying factors that drive societal behaviours and self-deception. The book covers a range of thought-provoking topics, including what drives doctors to work for dictators, the benefits of idleness, understanding the mindset of Hitler, why doctors collect body parts, the true meaning of illness, and how war can paradoxically advance medicine. This wide-ranging exploration is a compelling read for the intelligent reader and the Theodore Dalrymple fan. Dalrymple's insights offer a unique perspective on the complexities of human behaviour and cultural decline. Whether you are intrigued by the benefits of idleness, fascinated by the darker side of human nature, or interested in historical and psychological analyses, Nothing But Wickedness promises to be an enlightening and engaging read ranging across many genres.

This is a compilation of 6 different titles, which are about the following topics:
1: Charles Dickens is often remembered because of his Christmas Carol. And even though that is a very interesting novel, it wasn’t even his favorite. Some artists and authors claim that a work of art or a novel should be completely separated from the creator.
2: Perhaps you have heard of Edgar Allan Poe. Perhaps not. Either way, this 19th-century author has received quite some fame for his works and his unique style. His mystery and gruesome horror stories, comedy, and other genres have reached far into the depths of American literature.
3: Jane Austen is well-known for some famous books, among which the popular “Pride and Prejudice.” As an author in the early 1800s, many people may envision pretty dresses and fancy demeanor, but the reality of her life included some hardships as well that may not be so obvious by reading her novels.
4: Mark Twain is arguably one of the most famous authors in the United States, with his books Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. His characters were a typical and yet deviant episode of the time period in which he lived, depicting the circumstances under which many people lived.
5: Oscar Wilde was a wild one. His statements were bold, his career was successful, and his tongue was sharp. Not only did he disturb the common narrative of the nuclear family, the Catholic church, and the idea of patriotism, but he also blew many people away with his defense of his principles, his criticism on the state, philosophies on life itself, etc.
6: William Shakespeare is the celebrated script writer of the most popular plays in the English language. By writing both tragedies, romances, and comedies in the 16th century, he made a name for himself and became successful in the art of drama.

Our world is out of balance; so far out of balance we've almost forgotten there was ever an alternative. We know the age-old story of oppression of the Goddess in favour of a patriarchal force, and the ways that same story has played out over the centuries and generations to impact upon all those who identify as women.
But what if we were to step back from that story and look at the ways it plays out more broadly too and how we - and our planet - are suffering as a result.
Divine Feminism invites us to look deeper at this inequality, and consider the ways that all things considered "feminine" have been treated as less than over the centuries and generations.
This book is your invitation to reconnect with those aspects within and for ourselves and the world; to find the sacred balance and flow that lies beyond the dualities society has inflicted upon us and allow them to bring you not only back to yourself, but to a life that helps you remind the world there is another way.
Ceryn Rowntree is a Therapist, Coach, Medium and host of the Divine Feminist podcast. A practicing witch, she lives with her dog Lagertha in Northumberland, UK and is never happier than when the two of them are walking in the woods together.

    Obedience training for a bully…
Wade Johnson is the golden boy jock at our school, the star quarterback-- and a total jerk. He started calling me a “queer” back in ninth grade, and he and his football goons have been hassling me every day since.
But now I’ve got something to keep Wade in line-- a video that could destroy his social life and end his football playing days for good.
You’d think Wade would keep that in mind, and try to stay on my good side. Play nice. Keep the other jocks from messing with me. But Wade’s not that smart.
At school, he’s still the same homophobic bully he’s always been. So after school, he has to make it up to me.
It’s almost like that guy wants to be punished.
