Summary

The cliffs were high and impossible to climb.  
Anyone wanting to get to the top would have to find another way to get there. I searched the complete area inside this impenetrable fortress.  
There was no place anyone could hide. I was turning to go back to my horse when I felt the slug, before I heard the sound of the rifle shot. It knocked me head first into the side of Ruby, scaring her, where I slid to the ground.  
The pain was unbearable, but I knew I couldn't stay where I was, laying here in the open.
