Sinopse

Wild Life by James McDermott explores the nature of queerness, the queerness of nature, and the queerness of 'natural' masculinity. In bold poems that root themselves firmly in the coastal landscapes of North Norfolk, a vivid and radical dialogue between nature, sexuality and self-discovery emerges. McDermott brings a lyrical physicality to poetry which focuses on the body, desire, shame, and tenderness, creation and re-creation, and where there is 'everything always opening / everything always coming out'. These poems skilfully graft and touch, draw parallels between moments of transformation in the many kinds of ecosystems we exist in – whether outside and between woodland, shoreline and skyline, where the wildlife will 'see me as just another animal', or in human interactions in schools, gyms, and pubs where ideas of manhood, self, and society's expectations collide. Like the coastal spaces where McDermott finds an innate connection, Wild Life identifies that which is fluid and constantly changing – and that nature itself isn't afraid of being colourful, excessive, too much.

At their grandfather's funeral in Essex, twins Dan and Lauren meet Malcolm Spivack, a disgruntled eighty-year-old Jewish ex-gangster with a plan that's absolutely meshugge.
What ensues is a ragtag Yiddishe heist to kidnap a certain leader of the Labour Party and hold him accountable for all the antisemitic ailments of the diaspora… and anything else they can think of…
REVENGE: After the Levoyah is a daring satire about antisemitism, the dangers of collective hysteria, and how far a nonagenarian can throw a jar of chraine from a moving vehicle. Revenge is a dish best served pickled.
Written by Nick Cassenbaum and directed by Emma Jude Harris, it was first performed at Summerhall during the 2024 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it won a Fringe First Award and a Summerhall Lustrum Award, and transferred to The Yard Theatre, London, in 2025.

1964: Richard Burton, the firebrand Welsh actor, newly married to movie star Elizabeth Taylor, is to play the title role in an experimental new production of Hamlet under the exacting direction of John Gielgud.
But as rehearsals progress, the collaboration between actor and director soon threatens to unravel. One of them is the most famous movie star in the world; the other, a patrician from an earlier age of theatre. The stage is set for two titans to collide.
Jack Thorne's The Motive and the Cue is a fierce, funny play which offers a glimpse into the politics of a rehearsal room and the relationship between art and celebrity. This edition was published alongside the West End transfer in 2023, following its world premiere at the National Theatre, London, earlier that year. Originally commissioned and co-produced by Neal Street Productions, it was directed by Sam Mendes, and starred Johnny Flynn as Burton, Mark Gatiss as Gielgud and Tuppence Middleton as Taylor. It was named Best Play at the 2023 Evening Standard Theatre Awards, and Best New Play at the 2024 Critics' Circle Theatre Awards.
