Sinopsis

1900s London. For Patrick Bowley, fresh from rural Galway, a place of mind-expanding encounters with mystics, suffragettes, theosophists and free-thinkers. Drawn into the world of such luminaries as Jiddu Krishnamurti, Annie Besant and W B Yeats, it seems that Patrick is on a quest for meaning that will bear fruit. But a bruising failure in romance leaves him disillusioned with London and its class divisions and, in spiritual crisis, he flees to the familiarity of rural Ireland. But Patrick finds no peace and as Europe slides towards war and Ireland towards rebellion, his longing to shut out the world is challenged by a vocation to preach peace in Ireland that will not be quieted. And so he begins an epic pilgrimage to Dublin, arriving days before the 1916 Easter Rising. It is here that Patrick's journey reaches a gripping climax – one that finally reveals the true nature of the 'pathless country'.

Winner of the J G Farrell Award and an Irish Writers' Centre Novel Fair Award, James Harpur's debut novel deftly weaves a story of spiritual awakening with fin de siècle alternative thought, love and political history, exploring how conscience and spiritual quest survive in an atmosphere of war, sectarianism and class hierarchy.

This high-spirited tale, told through an exchange of letters, is unique in Jane Austen’s small body of work. It is the story of Lady Susan, a brilliant, beautiful and morally reprehensible coquette who delights in making men fall in love with her, deceiving their wives into friendship and even tormenting her own daughter, cruelly bending her to her will.

Austen clearly delighted in her wicked heroine—tracing Lady Susan’s maneuverings to remarry yet continue on with her lover, and to marry off her young daughter, with great wit, zest and unfailing panache.

This little-known gem, Austen’s only epistolary work, is perhaps both her funniest and bitchiest book.

The forest does not simply surround Serenya. It knows her, welcomes her, and claims her as its own. When her path leads her to the waters of a hidden lake, she finds herself drawn into an intimacy beyond anything she imagined, an encounter that is as tender as it is transformative.
Lady of the Lake is an evocative journey of body and spirit, where the natural world becomes a lover, confidant, and guide. Each breath of wind, each ripple of water, each brush of leaf carries with it a whisper of desire and care. Through surrender and play, Serenya learns that connection runs deeper than flesh and deeper than fear.
Lyrical, sensual, and haunting, this is a story about being seen by nature itself. It is about the unspoken bond between a woman and the world that cradles her.

Despite being unable to shift, I have talents the others don't have. I can see the spirits of dead people, for one. And I have a knack for fighting rogue supernaturals.

My ex-alpha will never let me back in, but there's another alpha in the city.

Something has been killing his wolves, and he wants me to destroy it before it takes another one. He'll triple my going rate—but that's not the thing that makes me agree to help him. He says he can free my wolf. It's not possible, but . . . What if it is?

I'll help him, either way. Monster hunting is what I do, and if there's a monster killing wolves, I will stop it. Because those two warring alphas might believe the city is theirs, but this is my territory.

A young man seeking purpose. A new life in a foreign city. A love that awakens everything he thought he knew about himself.
In this intimate and often overlooked gem, William Crimsworth leaves behind a stifling life in England to teach at a boys' school in Brussels. There he confronts ambition, jealousy, and the struggle to prove his worth in a world that underestimates him. But when he meets Frances Henri—a quiet, determined young teacher—their connection grows into something tender, honest, and transformative.

Praised as "a revealing portrait of Brontë's earliest voice," this novel offers sharp insight, heartfelt emotion, and themes of self-respect, independence, and the courage to choose one's own path. Readers treasure it for its subtle romance and the clarity of Brontë's developing brilliance.
