In the arcane apothecary of Elixirion, where potions simmer with stolen kisses and rogue spellbreakers shatter spells with thief's cunning, alchemist Mira brews an elixir for breaker Jax, whose kiss-stealing lips cure her bound magic. Their simmering, vialed in potion vows, cures the heart—or poisons it with addictive brews. As they stir through glow-lit labs and kiss-haunted vaults, raided by potion rivals and curse menders, Mira's alchemical brew merges with Jax's rogue shatter, revealing a potion legend of kissed cure. When a spilled vial unleashes mutation mists, they must kiss the simmer to distill the antidote. In the bubble of arcane elixirs, where every kiss infuses desire and every potion heals the soul's fracture, their love becomes the brew that frees the enchanted.

In the silent corridors of a Morgue Ship drifting between Earth and Mars, Brandon has a single purpose—recover the frozen bodies of fallen soldiers and search for the one that matters most: his own son. But when the retrieval claw hauls in a perfectly preserved man from the year 2100—one of the legendary 51 Scientists who vanished before completing a rumored super-weapon—Brandon realizes he may be holding the key to ending the war once and for all. What follows is a charged battle of morality, loyalty, and desperation as Brandon attempts the unthinkable: revive a man frozen for three centuries. And when the first heartbeat returns, so does hope… along with danger.
“Lazarus Come Forth” blends mystery, tension, and emotional depth into a story only Ray Bradbury could write—a tale where science and faith merge, where the dead refuse to stay silent, and where the line between redemption and ruin becomes razor thin.
Ray Bradbury (1920–2012) was one of the most influential voices in 20th-century speculative fiction, the author of Fahrenheit 451, The Martian Chronicles, Something Wicked This Way Comes, and more than 600 works across stories, novels, screenplays, essays, and poetry. Though loved for his lyrical language and human-centered storytelling, Bradbury also excelled at darker, suspense-driven tales like this one, exploring the emotional consequences of technology, war, and memory.
Whether you’re discovering Bradbury for the first time or returning to a forgotten gem, this story remains a haunting reminder of how far we’ll go to rewrite death—and how high the cost may be when the past wakes up.

Janview is to witness Mondegreen's interrogation by his captor, the beautiful and cruel Allynx Syld, who promises the end of the war. As recorder–and by degrees participant–in the interrogation, Janview comes to question everything she knew about the war, and the very world she lives in . . .
