Synopsis

Fathers and Sons by Ivan Turgenev is a powerful and thought-provoking novel that captures a society in transition and the timeless tension between generations. Set in 19th-century Russia, this literary masterpiece explores the clash between tradition and change, belief and skepticism, love and ideology.

The story follows Arkady Kirsanov, a recent university graduate who returns to his family estate accompanied by his close friend, Yevgeny Bazarov. A bold and outspoken nihilist, Bazarov rejects authority, romanticism, and social conventions, believing only in science and rational thought. His radical worldview challenges the older generation, particularly Arkady's father and uncle, who represent established values and refined sensibilities.

As philosophical debates unfold and personal relationships deepen, Turgenev reveals the emotional and intellectual struggles that arise when youthful conviction confronts inherited traditions. Yet beyond political and social conflict, the novel is deeply human. Through unexpected romance, wounded pride, and quiet moments of vulnerability, the characters grapple with love, identity, and the limits of ideology.

Turgenev's subtle storytelling and psychological insight bring each character to life with remarkable realism. He neither condemns nor glorifies any side, instead presenting a nuanced portrait of individuals shaped by their time yet driven by universal desires—for understanding, belonging, and purpose.

Elegant, reflective, and emotionally resonant, Fathers and Sons remains one of the greatest works of Russian literature. Its exploration of generational conflict and cultural transformation continues to feel strikingly relevant, reminding readers that the tension between past and future is a defining force in every era.

He’s on a quest to find himself...before they do.
Shivurr remembers little before the Bodhi Institute, the secret government installation where he’s been held and studied like a lab rat for the past decade.
It hasn’t been all bad, though, for a soda-pop-loving sci-fi fanboy, especially in 1983. He’s got all the TV, movies and arcade games he could ever want. But lately, flashes of his forgotten past have invaded his dreams: visions of an ancient chamber where the mysteries of his origin may finally be resolved.
Compelled to find it, Shivurr embarks on a quest, fleeing the facility in the dark of night. Escaping is easy; the Bodhi Group guards didn’t dream he’d ever try. The Nevada desert is dangerous for warm bloods; for a snowman, it’s pretty much suicide, even for one with his seemingly magical command of frost and ice.
Hunted by Bodhi Group agents, keeping to the shade when he can find it, he’s determined to survive; he’s got a feeling the world may depend on it. And, if he doesn’t, well, everyone melts eventually, right?

A chance encounter with two members from a local MC changed my life, but not in a good way. At least, not at first.

After being tortured because of who my biological father was, a man I'd only met a handful of times, the president of the club gave me two choices. Either end up in the ground or become a prospect for the Knights Corruption. My decision was a no brainer.

Over time, I found my place, solidifying a bond with the men I never thought possible. I fought alongside them in a war against a rival club, teetering between life and death multiple times, but I wouldn't change a thing because belonging to the KCMC allowed me to meet the love of my life.

I'd do anything for her, including following her to Texas for her job. The move was temporary, and while we were there, I'd integrate with our Laredo charter. But as always, life was full of surprises.

As events started to unfold, pieces of a dangerous puzzle being forced together, a new enemy came into play, the likes of which we'd never dealt with before.

To make sure my woman was safe, I needed my brothers at my back, once again ready to go to war if necessary. Only this time, the outcome might be fatal.
