"Transactional Analysis in Psychotherapy" by Eric Berne is a seminal text that delves into the intricacies of human interaction and communication through the lens of transactional analysis (TA). Published in 1961, this book presents TA not just as a theory but as a practical method of therapy, offering insights into the dynamics of human behavior. Berne introduces concepts such as ego states, which categorize communication and behavior into parent-like, child-like, or adult-like forms, and "strokes," which are units of interpersonal recognition. He explores the structuring of time and the concept of life scripts—unconscious life plans adopted under parental influence. Berne's work is foundational in the field of psychotherapy, providing tools for understanding the complexities of human relationships and the mechanisms of communication, making it an essential read for professionals in psychology and psychotherapy, as well as anyone interested in the deeper understanding of social interactions.

Canada Defies Annexation is a bold exploration of one of North America’s most enduring questions: why has Canada resisted every attempt by the United States to absorb it?
From the War of 1812 to modern trade wars, author Majdi Altaamneh traces over two centuries of political pressure, economic coercion, and cultural resilience. This audiobook blends history, politics, and personal perspective to show how Canada has preserved its independence and identity in the shadow of its powerful neighbor.
Whether through battles fought with muskets, negotiations at the trade table, or the quiet strength of cultural pride, Canada has continually defied annexation. Today, as new debates resurface, this story is more relevant than ever.
For Canadians, Americans, and anyone curious about how a nation can stand firm against a giant, this is a journey into history, resistance, and the promise of sovereignty.

Did you know that Brazil is the largest coffee producer in the world? Or that Brazil got its name from a tree?
Brazil has a rich and complicated history that few outside South America know about. It leads the world in some of the most profitable exports (gold, sugar, oil, and coffee,) yet Brazil has one of the largest wealth disparities in the world and is known for crime and poverty. It is also an ethnically diverse country with a rich, distinct nationality and culture, yet the Brazilians seem to be at odds with each other. Would you be surprised to learn that its history has something to do with that?
Brazil has fertile soil perfect for agriculture, as well as gold and other profitable resources, yet at the beginning of colonization, no European nation wanted to colonize it. We will explore Brazil’s prehistory and why the colonists were so hesitant to settle there. Once they did, though, Brazil’s history was forever changed.
While Brazil is one of the most recognized South American countries, its history is mostly unknown to the general public. This is partly because its landscape is incapable of preserving historical artifacts and partly because its history tends to be overshadowed by other countries in the Western Hemisphere. This audiobook will bring Brazil’s history alive, giving you insight into its rich past and a peek at what Brazil has been dealing with recently.
In this audiobook, you will learn about the following: The origins of Brazil’s first people The diets, lifestyles, and beliefs of Brazil’s native population The Europeans’ disinterest in Brazil Portugal’s convoluted colonization of Brazil Brazil’s sugar and coffee industries The church and its conversion of the native population
