Summary

Sahih Muslim is a collection of hadith compiled by Imam Muslim ibn al-Hajjaqj al-Naysaburi (rahimahullah). His collection is considered to be one of the most authentic collections of the Sunnah of the Prophet (may peace be upon him).Sunni Muslims consider it the second most authentic hadith collection, after Sahih Bukhari. However, it is important to realize that Imam Muslim never claimed to collect all authentic traditions as his goal was to collect only traditions that all Muslims should agree on about accuracy. The Muslim Scholars have agreed that all of the Ahadith in Sahih Muslim are authentic.

As the cultural conversation around race, gender, and sexuality has evolved, straight, white men are becoming increasingly aware of their privilege. But many may be left thinking, "OK, what am I supposed to do about it?" "We need a way forward beyond feelings of guilt, overwhelmingness, anger, and denial." "We are looking for transformative guidance that helps us be the good guys we want to be."

Straight, white, male pastor Chris Furr offers a guide to deconstructing that privilege in Straight White Male. With an emphasis on confession and redemption, Furr invites other privileged men to reconsider the ways they live, work, believe, and interact with others. Alongside Furr's perspective, essays from contributing writers who lack various types of privilege—straight, Black man William J. Barber II, straight, white woman Melissa Florer-Bixler, queer, nonbinary latinx Robyn Henderson-Espinoza, and gay, white man Matthias Roberts—offer insights on how particular types and combinations of privilege (and the lack thereof) shape the way we move through the world. Their combined voices offer much-needed perspective through this deconstruction and provide a vision for how straight, white men can do better for ourselves, our families, and society.

In the course of a career that combined scholarship with ordained ministry, David Jasper has influenced, inspired, challenged and encouraged many students and colleagues. In The End of the Church?, fourteen scholars capture some of David Jasper’s energy in contributions that signal continuing development and exploration.

The End of the Church? seeks to indicate the ambiguity and creative tension in Jasper’s relationship with the institution he has served as a priest and as a theologian. On the one hand, he has lamented its institutional myopia; on the other hand, he has loved its capacity (even if this is often submerged) to express something of the beauty, truth and mystery of God.

Maybe It's Time You Learned the Truth.... The community of Christian faith worldwide knows her as the finest woman who ever lived. Born in obscurity to a distant descendant of Israel's magnificent King David, Mary, the mother of Jesus of Nazareth, was honored by the Creator of the Universe to be the person through whom God himself would visit his own Creation. No matter what you may have thought you knew before about this first-century paragon of virtue and faith, there's a good possibility that you've been misinformed about her. In fact, chances are you've been wrong from the start about the most remarkable woman who ever walked the dusty roads of first-century Israel at the height of the Roman Empire's power. No, Mary isn't who you think she is. More than 20 centuries have come and gone since a teenage virgin became the mother of God's incarnate Son. As a result far too much myth has grown up around the person and story of the woman who became one of the foundational figures of human history. But what the New Testament records tell us about the life of Mary, the mother of Jesus, is fascinating enough in its own right that accumulated legends seem to embellish the story. So today, more than 20 centuries later, biblical scholar and theologian Dr. William Welty pulls back the dusty curtain of historically inaccurate tradition and introduces you to the very human but utterly magnificent character of Mary, the mother of the Messiah, as she struggles to pass Ten Test Questions for the World's Finest Woman. In this analysis of every passage recorded in the New Testament in which she is mentioned, you'll learn why Mary, the mother of the rabbi from Nazareth, rose from literal obscurity to become one of the most pivotal figures in all of human history.

After being forced to kill an FBI agent gone rogue in self-defense while working in the violent crimes unit for the Investigative Services Branch, ranger Madison Thorn is comfortable with her move to the fraud and cyber division. At least numbers don't lie. So she's less than thrilled when a white-collar crime investigation in Natchez, Mississippi, turns violent. She could also do without being forced to work with former-childhood-enemy-turned-infuriatingly-handsome park ranger Clayton Bradshaw.

When a woman who looks just like Madison is attacked on the same night Madison's grandfather is shot, it becomes clear that there is something much bigger going on here and that Madison herself is in danger. Madison and Clayton will have to work together--and suppress their growing feelings for one another--if they are to discover the truth before it's too late.

USA Today bestselling and award-winning author Patricia Bradley closes out her popular Natchez Trace Park Rangers series with this complex story of family secrets, mixed motives, and learning to trust.

Akali Darshan is a powerful book that shares the inspiring story of the Guru Ke Bagh Morcha, a key event in the Akali movement. What makes this book unique is that it was written by a non-Sikh, showing how deeply the Morcha touched people beyond the Sikh community. The book aims to spread awareness about the importance of peaceful protest and the strong anti-British spirit during India’s freedom struggle. Akali Darshan presents the Guru Ke Bagh Morcha as a symbol of courage and a source of inspiration for many other movements against British rule. You can order it from Sikh Siyasat and get it delivered anywhere in the world.
