The police suspect a tragic accident, but Wanda notices the warp threads have been deliberately cut and the victim's fabric samples contain hidden messages woven into the pattern. With her studio shut down and the weaving community in disarray, Wanda must thread her way through a complex investigation. Assisted by her weaving guild and the handsome textile engineer analyzing fiber stress points, Wanda uncovers a scheme involving industrial espionage, stolen weaving patterns, and sabotage of traditional looms. From suspicious tension inconsistencies that reveal tampering to fiber blends that don't match production records, every thread in the warp and weft tells a story. But when Wanda discovers the victim was systematically putting traditional weavers out of business to steal their patterns for mass production, she realizes the killer is protecting a craft heritage more valuable than any factory output. With the gala approaching and the real saboteur still operating, Wanda must weave together the truth before her own loom falls silent forever.
