Summary

👢 The annual Pine Valley Square Dance Jamboree is the highlight of the summer, bringing together dancers from across the state. But the lively event turns deadly when the demanding and disliked dance caller is found dead in the hayloft, a single custom-made cowboy boot missing from his feet. The prime suspect is the Jamboree's organizer, retired dance teacher Annie Oakley, who had a very public feud with the caller over the future of the event. To clear her name and save the beloved Jamboree from cancellation, Annie must step into the investigator's role. With help from her loyal border collie, Do-Si, and a handsome folk historian documenting the event, Annie uncovers a circle of suspects who all danced with the victim that night. From sabotaged audio equipment and stolen trophy money to secret romances and a long-buried scandal from a jamboree twenty years prior, every clue reveals that in this close-knit community, some grudges are danced with for a lifetime. Can Annie piece together the steps of this deadly dance before the killer decides to swing their last partner?
