Summary

Freddy has in mind the story of a prince hunting dragons, with a long sword and a helmet emitting flashes all around... But every time that the dragon emerges in his thoughts, Freddy has something else to do: he is a very busy boy and it looks as though there is never time for the dragon.
But one morning up there, amid the rooftops, there’s a cloud: it really seems like Freddy’s dragon. At last that day, in the park, Freddy will find the right moment to tell his mother his story...

Beneath the sunken archipelago of Verdemer, where merfolk heirs rise in pearl armors against coral tyrants and tide sovereigns command waves from isle ruins, heir Marina rises with a tide of rebel currents, their sovereignty threatened by tyrants who choke the seas with coral chains. The isles, risen in armor vows and command-kissed surges, rebuild the depths—or submerge in tyrannical floods. As they surge through isle-laced reefs and sovereign-bound trenches, risen by tyrant sentinels and wave rivals, Marina's heir grace fuses with rebels' tide fury, unveiling a verdemer legend of emerald ascension. When a chained pearl summons flood krakens, they must rise the sovereign to break the coral. In the emeralds of tide isles, where every wave crashes the chain and every command stirs the deep, their epic rise becomes the archipelago that surfaces the oppressed seas.
