Summary

From bloodthirsty walls to interdimensional drugs to tyrannical authority to even a time-travel murder mystery, Trepid Trials is a collection featuring five stories all with an underlying theme of horrific trepidation. 
The Walls: Four co-workers end up trapping themselves in a room where if they touch the walls, they are horrifically pulled in. 
Bootstrap: Two secret time-travelers are sent back under orders by the U.S. Government to preserve an existing timeline where, in a deadly experiment, five of six soldiers are murdered in a particular sequence. However, while everyone is aware of this mission and even some out to change this timeline, those involved must figure out which two are what they claim they’re not. 
Colby: A mother’s shackle… a child’s mind… and a fantastical imagining to discover self-love… all realized through Colby the talking dog, eight-year-old Howard’s imaginary friend. 
Maggots of the Mind: Turner has a lot going on in his mind: repetition, ruminations, and a scrambled reality. All until he is presented with an opportunity to manipulate the dimension we are all in tandem with… our conscience. 
Psycho Confinement: Carl is up against the clock in a critical situation... to exist.
