An homage to Louisa May Alcott's Little Women, Hello Beautiful is a powerfully moving portrait of what is possible when we choose to love someone.

Gretchen Rubin, the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Happiness Project, discovers a surprising path to a life of more energy, creativity, luck, and love by tuning in to the five senses. Do you really need to? Or do you just want to? There's a difference there, and that's what you need to figure out.
You may be thinking, "So what? Yes, I procrastinate. I'm not a bad person for doing so."
Of course not, but it's not like it's doing you any good putting off important tasks for another time, either. Not only are you sabotaging the potential to have more free time, but you are also harming your career or education, depending on where you are in life.
On top of that, you're putting your overall well-being at risk, as chronic procrastination increases the risk of low self-esteem, feelings of worthlessness, and stress.
Put a stop to your constant suffering and find out how you can turn your habits around.
For something with such drastic life-changing potential, you may think it would require attending a lengthy seminar or two, or even signing up for an expensive month-long program. That, however, is definitely not the case -- you can achieve the same benefits right at the comfort of your very own living room.
Stop wasting any more of your valuable time and make the change you so desperately need in order to get all your ducks in a row.

Why can't you remember where you put your keys? Or the title of the movie you saw last week? Anyone older than forty knows that forgetfulness can be unnerving, frustrating, and sometimes terrifying. With compassion and humor, acclaimed journalist Cathryn Jakobson Ramin explores the factors that determine how well or poorly one's brain will age. She takes readers along on her lively journey—consulting with experts in the fields of sleep, stress, traumatic brain injury, hormones, genetics, and dementia, as well as specialists in nutrition, cognitive psychology, and the burgeoning field of drug-based cognitive enhancement. Along the way, she turns up fresh scientific findings, explores the dark regions of the human brain, and hears the intimate confessions of high-functioning midlife adults who—like so many of us—are desperate to understand exactly what's going on upstairs.

Gordon W. Allport’s 1954 book The Nature of Prejudice helped mold the ways in which psychologists investigate prejudice. But the American’s work reached further than that, also helping to shape society as a whole and making a substantial contribution to the US Civil Rights Movement, as well as to the country’s anti-discrimination and anti-segregation laws of the 1950s and 1960s.

The book was immensely influential in the 1950s cognitive revolution, showing scientists how to take an interdisciplinary approach to the study of the mind. The most important contribution Allport made in this field through The Nature of Prejudice—the development of what is known as intergroup contact theory—has inspired hundreds of studies. The theory states that contact between groups is one of the most effective ways to reduce prejudice. The book’s enduring influence can be seen in the 2005 publication of a collection of essays—On The Nature of Prejudice: Fifty Years After Allport—that focuses on its core themes.
