Many believe that the most successful people in the world have mastered the ability to use their minds to attract what they desire. Imagine being able to draw what you want most into your life effortlessly, without having to take direct action. Imagine being able to manifest your goals and desires through the discipline of your thoughts.

Everything begins with thoughts, which most people don’t fully grasp, as actions are rooted in these ideas. Before diving into the methods that harness the power of the mind, it’s important to ask: What is the subconscious mind?

The subconscious is a part of the mind that, while not fully conscious, influences a person’s actions and feelings. Some view the subconscious as connected to the spirit or soul, capable of shaping your reality based on the messages it receives from your actions and beliefs.

If this is true, then it’s crucial to examine your subconscious mind and consider what you truly want. However, this is easier said than done. The complexities of life and the mix of positive and negative experiences make it difficult to control what is fed to the subconscious mind.

From the colonial through the antebellum era, enslaved women in the US used lethal force as the ultimate form of resistance. By amplifying their voices and experiences, Brooding over Bloody Revenge strongly challenges assumptions that enslaved women only participated in covert, non-violent forms of resistance, when in fact they consistently seized justice for themselves and organized toward revolt. Nikki M. Taylor expertly reveals how women killed for deeply personal instances of injustice committed by their owners. The stories presented, which span centuries and legal contexts, demonstrate that these acts of lethal force were carefully pre-meditated. Enslaved women planned how and when their enslavers would die, what weapons and accomplices were necessary, and how to evade capture in the aftermath. Original and compelling, Brooding Over Bloody Revenge presents a window into the lives and philosophies of enslaved women who had their own ideas about justice and how to achieve it.

The Sundowners, Pegasus, and Little Butch provides a new perspective on the Pacific War by following the exploits of a single Navy unit, Carrier Air Group 11 (CVG-11), beginning in 1943. Author Brian D. Laslie tells the riveting story of how the unit produced several aces, built a storied combat record, and played an important role in the defeat of Japan.

Like other Carrier Air Groups, CVG-11 comprised three aircraft squadrons: fighter (VF-11), bomber (VB-11), and torpedo (VT-11). CVG-11 saw its first action on Guadalcanal in 1943. It was then deployed on the aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CV 12) and fought throughout the Central and Southwest Pacific areas, from 1944 to 1945. The air group's achievements during World War II were laudable, amassing 103 air-to-air victories, destroying 272 grounded planes, and sinking more than 100,000 tons of Japanese shipping. During its time on the Hornet, CVG-11 also produced four aces, with top ace Charlie Stimpson shooting down an impressive sixteen enemy planes. VF-11 took great pride in protecting their shipmates and other squadron members in VB-11 and VT-11 and logged a perfect escort record, losing no bombers or torpedo planes to Japanese aircraft during the entire conflict. Laslie weaves together diaries, interviews, archival research, and official battle reports to present CVG-11's compelling story.

“As you dream”, philosopher and poet James Allen wrote, “so shall you become.” The root of Allen’s belief that success, personal fulfilment and inner peace really are all in your mind.
Revolutionary and enduring, the practical, profound, and simple meditations in this groundbreaking work still resonate after more than a century, and they have established its author as the father of the New Thought movement.
Allen's main thesis is that thought is not just a vehicle for comprehending and explaining the world, but is also the prime mechanism for creating and changing human experience. While Allen's views may remain controversial, a vast audience of readers has found his work greatly inspiring.

Richard I ruled as King of England from 1189 to 1199. He also governed as Duke of Normandy, Aquitaine, and Gascony, Lord of Cyprus, and Count of Poitiers, Anjou, Maine, and Nantes, and also being ruler of Brittany at different periods. He was the 3rd of 5 sons of King Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine, and he appeared not likely to prosper his dad as king, but all of his brothers had passed away before him, other than the youngest, John.Just because of his track record as a prominent army leader and fighter, Richard is called Richard Cur de Lion (Norman French: Le quor de lion) or Richard the Lionheart. Richard Oc-e-Non (Occitan for Yes and No) was a label given to him by troubadour Bertran de Born, probably simply because of his terseness.Richard had taken management of his own army by the age of 16, putting down disobediences in Poitou against his dad.Richard was a key Christian leader throughout the Third Crusade, commanding the project after Philip II of France's departure and winning substantial successes over Saladin, his Muslim equivalent, while signing a peace treaty and ending the fight without retaking Jerusalem. In this book, we will learn more about his life and his motivations.
