He’s an over-achieving perfectionist. She doesn’t tolerate bossy men.
Grant Foster is organized, focused, and hardworking—or as his younger sister calls it, neurotic. When the opportunity of a lifetime—becoming the Vice President of Marketing—is within his grasp, he is determined to succeed. He must rely on the help of an accomplished and beautiful coworker to achieve his goal. A coworker who is as distracting as she is talented.
Failure isn’t an option for Celeste Hightower. She’s had to work too hard to get where she’s at. Working with the man she’s had a crush on for the past four years is just another hurdle she needs to cross. Too bad fear of failing keeps her from chasing her true dream.
A workplace romance is a bad idea—they rarely work out. And Grant doesn’t break the rules. Especially with so much on the line. He needs Celeste’s help to connect with his younger siblings, though, and she needs moral support to face her estranged father again. The more they work together outside the office, the blurrier the lines become. When Celeste finds out she’s been living a lie, and Grant’s younger sister goes missing, their relationship is put to the test.

"The best debut novel I've ever read!" - Heather G Harris, Best-Selling Author of the Other Realm SeriesAfter hundreds of years of dying, you'd think I would've perfected it by now...
One moment I'm a heretical priest in the twelfth century, hunted, hated...The next, I'm waking up in the nearest corpse. Stuck in a cycle of instant reincarnation, popping back up like a tarnished penny.
Fast forward eight hundred years, and you might think I've learned a thing or two. Nope. All I've learned is how to die far too easily, far too often.
Now my territory in the South of France is under threat and I find myself trapped by impossible angel-made runes. If the angels have gone full red lightsaber evil, it might not only be my territory in danger, but the whole of reality itself...
I need to stop whoever is behind this, and now. After all, you can't come back to life, if there's nothing left to come back to.
This omnibus collects the first three books of the award-winning "imPerfect Cathar series" - "imPerfect Magic", "imPerfect Curse" & "imPerfect Fae" - as well as the never-before published short story "The Dark Of The Water's Edge".
If you can't wisecrack while death is on the line? Well... perhaps you're not dying right.

Something is rotten in the state of cybernetics.
Elsinore Robotics is on the cusp of a breakthrough—the company is poised to create the first humanoid androids powered by true artificial intelligence. Their only rival, Norwegian Technologies, lost a publicly streamed contest between their flagship model, Fortinbras, and Elsinore’s HAM(let) v.1.
But when the first Hamlet model is found irreparably deactivated, the apparent victim of wild malware, the field of consumer cybernetics is thrown wide open. However, Hamlet v.1’s memories were not entirely lost in the accident.
Hamlet v.2 swears to avenge his progenitor, but is plagued by the aftereffects of integrating Old Hamlet’s backup into his own neural matrix. Beset by doubts about whether his feelings are truly his own, he worries his love for his boyfriend, Horatio, is an illusion, all the while driven by a consuming need for revenge. While he has a method, there is a madness in it, and Hamlet’s actions will leave no corner of Elsinore unscathed.
A beat-by-beat retelling of the Shakespeare classic, *Hamlet, Prince of Robots* grapples with conscience, ambition, and pain, and what it means to be, or not to be, human.

    It's not a river, it's this river.

A hot, motionless afternoon. Enero and El Negro are fishing with Tilo, their dead friend's teenage son. After hours of struggling with a hooked stingray, Enero aims his revolver into the water and shoots it. They hang the ray's enormous corpse from a tree at their campsite and let it go to rot, drawing the attention of some local islanders and igniting a long-simmering fury toward outsiders and their carelessness. It's only the two sisters—the teenage nieces of one of the locals, Aguirre—with their hair black as cowbird feathers and giving off the scent of green grass, who are curious about the trio and invite them to a dance. But the girls are not quite as they seem. As night approaches and tensions rise, Enero and El Negro return to the charged memories of their friend who years ago drowned in this same river.

As uneasy and saturated as a prophetic dream, Not a River is another extraordinary novel by Selva Almada about masculinity, guilt, and irrepressible desire, written in a style that is spare and timeless.
