Sinopse

TV Comedy Timing explores the critical role of timing in television comedy, dissecting why some sitcoms succeed while others fail. The book analyzes how shows master comedic delivery and how humor styles evolve, revealing that comedic timing isn't just skill; it’s a fundamental element influencing audience engagement and a sitcom’s legacy. For instance, mastering rhythm and pacing can transform a simple line into a memorable moment.

This exploration traces sitcoms from broadcast television's early days to the streaming era, highlighting how technological advancements and cultural shifts shape comedic sensibilities. By combining theoretical frameworks with practical insights, the book avoids academic jargon, offering a unique perspective for students, aspiring writers, and anyone interested in the inner workings of television comedy.

Chapters systematically introduce comedic timing components, examine era-specific delivery techniques, analyze specific sitcoms, and apply these principles to contemporary television writing and performance.

Long-time art critic Richard Dorment reveals the corruption and lies of the art world and its mystifying authentication process.

Late one afternoon in the winter of 2003, art critic Richard Dorment answered a telephone call from a stranger. The caller was Joe Simon, an American film producer and art collector. He was ringing at the suggestion of David Hockney, his neighbor in Malibu. A committee of experts called the Andy Warhol Art Authentication Board had declared the two Warhols in his collection to be fake. He wanted to know why and thought Dorment could help.

This call would mark the beginning of an extraordinary story that would play out over the next ten years and would involve a cast of characters straight out of a n novel. From rock icons and film stars; art dealers and art forgers; to a murdered Russian oligarch and a lawyer for the mob; from courtrooms to auction houses: all took part in a bitter struggle debating the authenticity of a series of paintings by the most famous American artist of the twentieth century. Part detective story, part art history, part memoir, and part courtroom drama, Warhol After Warhol is a spellbinding account of the dark connection between money, power, and art.

This Poem is Titled 'Beauty of the Human Form. ::
It is a poem about the never ending fascination of People with the Human body.
Some might say, its in our DNA. That maybe so.
The Greeks knew how to display it, as both eroticism and as an Art form.
Showing both sexes in the 'Perfect' perfection of Beauty!
Unfortunately; the human form, especially the female human form has been in the last few decades
since the new renaissance or as we call the sexual revolution or as is now the 'free society'.
Denigrated to an object not of art but purely of desire, or descended into the more pornographic exploitive realms of decor art.
*NO A.I. has been used in the creation of this Poem. * As for all his poems & s/stories.*
*Just the purity of thought of the Author.
