Sinossi

Artificial intelligence (AI) undoubtedly sparks debate among teachers. Questions arise about the trajectory of this new technology: where will it take us?; how will we differentiate between student-authored work and AI-generated content?; what impact will it have on the dynamics of learning and teaching within schools? These are all crucial topics for discussion, yet AI has already become an integral part of our reality, and Gemma Clark firmly believes that embracing its potential is in our best interests.
In an era defined by technological advancements, Artificial Intelligence in the Primary Classroom stands as an indispensable resource that holds the key to transforming teaching and learning. For educators burdened by bureaucratic tasks that divert precious time from actual teaching, this book offers a lifeline. It showcases how AI-powered tools can alleviate administrative burdens, enabling teachers to focus more on crafting personalised and imaginative lessons that resonate with young minds. From automating report-writing processes to facilitating content creation, the book imparts tangible methods to streamline workflows and elevate teaching quality. Other examples include:

- Spelling Lessons: Save time when planning your spelling lessons by using AI to automatically generate a comprehensive list of phonemes or 'sounds suitable for teaching young children.'
- Mindfulness in the Classroom: If you are interested in incorporating mindfulness games and activities to assist children in relaxation and focus, AI can provide valuable suggestions for fostering pupil (and staff) wellbeing.
- PE Lessons: You don't have to be an expert in sport to teach PE. Whether it's tennis, football, rugby or running, AI can offer suggestions for activities, warm-ups and cool-downs to use in your PE lessons.
- Art Lessons: AI can be an excellent resource for planning art lessons, especially when seeking suggestions to emphasize one of the eight elements, such as line, shape, form, colour, value, texture, space, and value.
- Maths Lessons: As with spelling, AI can significantly reduce the time spent on creating maths questions and simplify the process of differentiation.Artificial Intelligence in the Primary Classroom is filled with practical strategies, engaging activities and useful tips and tricks that will save teachers time and energy as well as transferrable lesson plans with step-by-step instructions. Backed up by real-world examples throughout, this book empowers teachers to embrace AI as a tool in fostering enhanced learning experiences, while also reclaiming invaluable time for pedagogical creativity.
Suitable for primary school teachers of all levels of experience.

Human, All Too Human by Friedrich Nietzsche provides a comprehensive examination of the human condition as it relates to morality and ethics, foregrounding Nietzsche's radical perspective on the illusory nature of moral systems which rely on rigidly defined categories of good and evil. In doing so, Nietzsche challenges traditional religious interpretations of morality and urges readers to rethink their values through the lens of his own philosophy. Read in English, unabridged.

    Quantum Paranormal: The Mystery Revealed
    Science Meets the Unknown
For centuries, people have told stories of ghosts, psychic visions, UFOs, and other strange events. Some call them supernatural. Others say they are tricks of the mind. But what if science can explain them? Quantum Paranormal explores how the strange rules of quantum physics may unlock the secrets behind the unexplained.
    The Quantum World
At the smallest level of reality, particles can exist in more than one place at once. They can connect across great distances instantly, and time itself can bend in ways we don’t yet understand. These discoveries suggest that the universe is more mysterious and flexible than we imagine.
    Exploring the Paranormal
This audiobook examines ghosts, psychic abilities, UFOs, and poltergeists through the lens of quantum mechanics. Could ghosts be echoes of alternate realities? Could telepathy and clairvoyance be explained by quantum entanglement? Could UFOs be visitors from parallel dimensions instead of distant planets?
    The Quantum Nexus
Quantum Paranormal also explores the “nexus,” where consciousness, observation, and reality meet. The observer effect shows that watching something can change its outcome. What happens when human focus or emotion bends reality itself? Could this explain paranormal encounters that defy logic?
    A New Understanding
By blending physics, psychology, and ancient mystery, this audiobook provides a fresh way to think about the paranormal. It does not demand belief. Instead, it invites listeners to consider that paranormal events may be natural results of how reality works at the quantum level.
    An Invitation to Wonder
Whether you are a skeptic, a seeker, or simply curious, Quantum Paranormal opens the door to a new way of seeing the world. The unknown may not be beyond science. It may be a reflection of the deepest structure of reality itself.

A historian chronicles the life of the Union Civil War general while recounting his own unusual journey during his investigation into the past. Who was George Gordon Meade? He should be remembered as one of the Civil War’s most important generals. Instead, history has pushed him aside. The hot-tempered Meade received command of the Union’s dysfunctional Army of the Potomac only three days before he defeated Robert E. Lee’s Confederates at Gettysburg. After that, Meade watched his reputation decline, thanks in part to the escape of Lee’s army, hostility from politicians and the press, the machinations of Gen. Daniel Sickles, and the rise of Ulysses S. Grant. “I suppose after a while,” Meade once grumbled, “it will be discovered I was not at Gettysburg at all.” The Rodney Dangerfield of Civil War generals, Meade gets no respect—and author Tom Huntington wanted to find out why. In Searching for George Gordon Meade, he tells the story of the general’s life and his participation in the Civil War’s great engagements, from George McClellan’s Richmond Campaign to Appomattox. Huntington also provides accounts of his own investigations of Meade’s legacy. Along the way he hikes across battlefields, recites the names of fallen soldiers at a candlelit ceremony at Gettysburg, drinks a champagne toast at Meade’s grave on New Year’s Eve, and visits a severed leg, a buried arm, and a horse’s head. The result is a quirky and compelling mash-up of history, biography, travel, and journalism that casts new light on an overlooked figure from the past. Praise for Searching for George Gordon Meade“Unique and irresistible.” —Harold Holzer, chairman of Lincoln Bicentennial Foundation“Huntington’s wry, boisterous biography-within-a-travel journal . . . strives to remake the reputation of Meade and offers a compelling new way to approach biography.” —John G. Carthage was one of the great ancient civilizations, and at its peak, the wealthy Carthaginian empire dominated the Mediterranean against the likes of Greece and Rome, with commercial enterprises and influence stretching from Spain to Turkey. In fact, at several points in history it had a very real chance of replacing the fledgling Roman empire or the failing Greek poleis (city-states) altogether as master of the Mediterranean. Although Carthage by far preferred to exert economic pressure and influence before resorting to direct military power (and even went so far as to rely primarily on mercenary armies paid with its vast wealth for much of its history, it nonetheless produced a number of outstanding generals, from the likes of Hanno Magnus to, of course, the great bogeyman of Roman nightmares himself: Hannibal.
Certain foreign policy decisions led to continuing enmity between Carthage and the burgeoning power of Rome, and what followed was a series of wars which turned from a battle for Mediterranean hegemony into an all-out struggle for survival. Although the Romans gained the upper hand in the wake of the First Punic War, the Carthaginians brought the Romans to their knees for over a decade during the Second Punic War. Of course, they were led in Italy by the legendary Hannibal Barca, who maintained his army near Rome for nearly 15 years, but never attempted to march on Rome.
One overlooked figure in the Punic Wars is Hamilcar Barca, who is now best remembered for being Hannibal’s father. However, before Hannibal marched out of Spain, it was Hamilcar who had positioned forces there, and he was already a significant historical figure in his own right. Indeed, had it not been for his death, his legacy likely would have been more important than that of his illustrious son, who is now remembered as one of history’s greatest generals.
