Synopsis

This book by Emily Bronte is a classic of English literature. 
"Wuthering Heights" is a passionate, obsessive love story between Catherine Earnshaw and Heathcliff, a foundling adopted by Catherine's father.  After Mr Earnshaw's death, Heathcliff is humiliated by Catherine's brother Hindley and believing his love for Catherine is not reciprocated, leaves Wuthering Heights, only to return years later as a wealthy and polished man. He then proceeds to exact a terrible revenge for his former miseries. 
The forlong love in the story is matched by the lonely moorland setting and the poetic grandeur.  The novel is both brutal and beautiful in equal measure.
