Boldir dropped the sack onto the flagstone floor, reached down and upended it, letting the contents spill out. King Zelroth, sitting on his throne, let his lip curl back in disgust.
 
 
 
"Four goblin heads," Boldir announced proudly. "All slain by myself!" He puffed out his massive chest and patiently waited for the expected gratitude and acclaim.
 
 
 
"What do you want me to do with them?" Zelroth asked, acid dripping from the question.
 
 
 
"I want you to pay me for them," Boldir stated. "The bounty for every goblin is ten pieces of gold. I would appreciate quick payment because I am currently, much to my shame, in debt."
 
 
 
"These are not my goblins," said Zelroth.
 
 
 
"Of course not. But I killed them on your lands and per the decree of Emperor Cintan, there is a ten gold bounty on each of them." He fixed the old king with an angry glare. "Pay up."
