  Noted internationally known Self-help advocate and teacher of devotional yoga Prana Govinda Das was born in Liverpool, England in 1968 admittedly a pretty good year for all things bright and beautiful. He says, "From as early as I can remember I had a unquenchable thirst for knowledge, and a desire to understand the true nature of man and this world we live in. It was there he met his spiritual guide, and mentor Srila Bhaktivedanta Naryana Goswami. Some twenty years on, Prana has been resident in his teacher's temples all over the world, particularly India, Australia, America, and Europe.   Teen films of the 1980s were notorious for treating consent as irrelevant with scenes of boys spying in girls' locker rooms and tricking girls into sex. Contemporary movies, on the other hand, now routinely prioritize consent, ensuring date rape is no longer a joke and girls' desires are celebrated. Yet, sexual consent remains a problematic and often elusive ideal in teen films. 
  The introduction to the book Consent Culture and Teen Films: Adolescent Sexuality in US Movies demonstrates how teen films throughout the last several decades have shifted from trivializing nonconsent to emphasizing affirmative consent, or “yes means yes.” In doing so, they have adapted to “consent culture,” the cultural prioritization of obtaining clear verbal consent in all interactions—particularly sexual ones. 
  This chapter provides a historical context for how consent culture developed as a response to rape culture and traces how affirmative consent gained strength through legislation related to Title IX and sexual assault on college campuses between the 1990s and today. 
  Yet, at the same time, Meek reveals how teen films continue to expose how affirmative consent does not protect youth from unwanted and unpleasant sexual encounters. In the genre, we are confronted by innumerable problematic aspects of consent in practice—youth say yes when they clearly feel no; they insist on a consent and agency adults deem invalid due to their age; and they regret their sexual experiences. 
  While consent culture has provided some of the language during cinematic moments, it is strikingly evident that those words often fall short. Consent, it turns out, has not been the panacea we had hoped—that is, at least, not according to teen films.

  The history of the tablets translated in the following pages is strange and beyond modern scientists' comprehension. Their age is astounding, dating back 36,000 years B.C. Thoth is an Atlantean Priest-King who established a colony in ancient Egypt after the mother country was sunk. He was the builder of the Great Pyramid of Giza, which has been incorrectly attributed to Cheops. He included his knowledge of ancient wisdom as well as securely hidden records and instruments from ancient Atlantis. 
  From approximately 50,000 B.C. to 36.000 B.C., he ruled the ancient race of Egypt for approximately 16,000 years. The ancient barbarous race among which he and his followers had settled had advanced to a high level of civilization at the time. Thoth was immortal, that is, he had defeated death, passing only when he wished and not through death. His vast knowledge elevated him to the throne of the various Atlantean colonies, including those in South and Central America. 
  When the time came for him to leave Egypt, he built the Great Pyramid over the entrance to the Great Halls of Amenti, placed his records inside, and appointed guards from among the highest of his people to guard his secrets. The descendants of these guards later became the pyramid priests, through whom Thoth was deified as the God of Wisdom, The Recorder, by those living in the age of darkness that followed his death. The halls of Amenti were transformed into the underworld, the Halls of the Gods, where the soul passed after death for judgment. 
  The ego of Thoth passed into the bodies of men in later ages, as described in the tablets. As a result, he incarnated three times, the last time as Hermes, the thrice-born. In this incarnation, he left the Emerald Tablets, a later and far less complete exposition of the ancient mysteries.
