When he sees entrepreneur Mitch O'Shea whirling around an empty building, contractor Ben Behr is enchanted. Even though his two brothers are gay, Ben always thought he was a ladies' man until he met Mitch.

Despite his feelings, Ben knows San Francisco native Mitch is totally out of his league. What could Ben possibly do to get out-and-proud Mitch to notice him?

Turns out Mitch is just as attracted to Ben. As they compete in car rallies, camp in the Sierra Nevada foothills, and tour the bars Mitch owns in the city, they realize how stifled they've been their entire lives.

Maybe looking over the fence and jumping it to explore what's on the other side are good ideas. When these two seemingly opposites get together, will Ben and Mitch find out they have the world at their feet and might even have love in their hearts?

Life has been going well for Travis Grayweaver recently. The Grand Council of High Magick hasn't summoned him for anything. For a witch without a Guild, he's still getting plenty of work. Tonight, they'll be celebrating the Yule with lots of candlelight and a feast for two and a festival in town as they honor the start of winter and wait for the sun's return. Only Niko's been acting a bit off lately, obviously keeping something from Travis.

Travis is trying to be patient with him, but this thing from Niko's past might be more than he can handle. Old demons and long-kept secrets will be revealed, but can the love they have for one another endure these revelations during the longest night of the year?

Giant magical snails aren't exactly at the top of the list of heroic quests. But the village of Dun Nas needs help, and Aric needs money: being a legendary swordsman might be nice, but so is getting paid. Anyway, snails -- even giant ones -- aren't anything he can't handle, especially with his half-fairy partner Emrys. Together, the Storm-Wielder and the Shadow can fight anything, or so the stories say.

But this job's more complicated than it seems. The lake holds a dangerous magical mystery. Aric trusts Emrys with his life -- but he'd also love to offer his heart, and he doesn't know whether Em feels the same. Em isn't human, after all ... and has a few secrets of their own.

Adam Gray isn't as certain, but he's happy to follow the intense, brilliant geophysicist into the mountains to escape the flooding. Though he'd be even happier without three hundred other people -- and their pets -- tagging along.
But Zach's prediction is right, and as disaster begins to unfold towards an unstoppable, inevitable conclusion, the two young scientists must become a team in the fight to save their people. They draw strength from their rapidly developing relationship, but the higher Zach and Adam climb, the more difficult the tests they face ... as lovers and as men.
