In a world of shifting shadows and mistaken identities, one man’s attempt to reclaim his life spirals into a tense battle against a ruthless enemy who knows his every move.
"For the first time, the hunter becomes the hunted." A daring robbery at a deputy's villa goes horribly wrong, leaving two of Arsène Lupin's most loyal accomplices captured and sentenced to the guillotine. The key to their salvation? A simple crystal stopper that has vanished into thin air. Lupin finds himself locked in a deadly battle of wits against the villainous Deputy Daubrecq, a man so cunning and black-hearted that he may finally be Lupin's match. To save his friends, the gentleman thief must navigate a treacherous world of political blackmail, hidden lists, and shocking betrayals. In The Crystal Stopper, the stakes aren't just gold or jewels—they are human lives. Lupin at His Most Vulnerable: This novel is famous for showing a different side of Lupin. Stripped of his usual composure and facing a ticking clock, he must use every ounce of his ingenuity to outmaneuver an enemy who knows his every move. It is a gripping psychological thriller that proves Lupin is at his best when backed into a corner. A Masterpiece of Suspense: Leblanc expertly weaves a tale of "the purloined letter" variety, where the most important object is often hidden in plain sight. The mystery of the crystal stopper remains one of the most clever "MacGuffins" in detective fiction, leading to a climax that is both breathless and satisfying. Why It Is a Must-Read: If you enjoyed the high-stakes tension of the Lupin TV series, this is the book for you. It combines the classic charm of the Belle Époque with the grit of a modern thriller, making it an essential chapter in the legend of the world's favorite rogue. Race against the clock to save the innocent. Purchase "The Crystal Stopper" today.Show book

By his first wife, he has a 15-year-old son named Jack, who suffered an unfortunate accident as a child and now, although he can still walk, he does not have the full use of his legs. After the bloodsucking began, Jack has unaccountably been struck twice by his stepmother, although Mr. Ferguson cannot imagine why. Ever since being found out by her husband, she has locked herself in her room and refused to come out. Only her Peruvian maid, Dolores, is allowed in. She takes Mrs. Ferguson her meals.Show book
