Bored, he follows Louis to a shady café where he spots a pair he’s long been intrigued by—a South American gentleman and a young girl. Because of certain complications, Captain Rotheby finds himself forced to leave Paris, only to find himself travelling with the aforementioned gentleman, Mr. Delora, and his niece, Felicia. Arriving in London, Mr. Delora falls ill and excuses himself, leaving Captain Rotheby to take care of Felicia. “A work of art. In each of the pages, you will feel the flow of a powerful energy which will murmur to each of your cells that it is time to come out of hiding, to open the windows, to breathe freely, to dress colorfully… to fly.”—Laura Esquivel, author of Like Water for Chocolate
A fable for all ages about a Mexican-American girl who transforms into a monarch butterfly and undertakes the great migration to Mexico, Monarca braids together the values of heritage, ecology, and personal transformation.
On her thirteenth birthday, Inés receives a mysterious necklace from her abuela in Mexico that turns her into a monarch butterfly—the fulfilment of a prophecy linking Inés’ destiny to her family’s legacy and the butterflies’ survival.
The adventure continues as Inés joins the monarchs on their long journey south to the butterfly sanctuary in Mexico—an odyssey that has become increasingly perilous due to human activity. Together, the swarm travels from the northeast to the swamps of Louisiana to the pine-filled mountain tops of the western Sierra Madre, finally alighting at the Sierra Chincua sanctuary. On this wondrous journey in the vein of Jonathan Livingston Seagull and The Little Prince, Inés discovers the connections between all living beings, and the urgent need to protect the monarchs' migration and habitats.
Divided into four chapters to mirror the four stages in a monarch’s life—egg, larva, pupa and butterfly—Monarca blends Mexican folklore, environmentalism, and magical realism in an enchanting novella. This book will inspire readers to protect and cherish the sacred natural world around them.

Town Marshal "Bloody" Joe Mannion is back in this third high-action volume in Peter Brandvold's explosive western series!

When Jeremiah Claggett, constable of the nearby ghost town of Fury, is murdered by Frank Lord, the kill-crazy leader of a dozen wild outlaws, Bloody Joe has to come to grips with the fact that he's inadvertently to blame. Mannion had turned Frank's brother, Billy, over to Claggett for safekeeping, setting off the chain of events that end his friend's life. Mannion is the kill-crazy one now. Not realizing he's being shadowed by Clagget's beautiful, half-wild granddaughter, Justy, and an inscrutable saddle tramp, Mannion sets out on his vengeance quest.

In typical Bloody Joe style, he storms Lord's gang single-handedly, which nearly proves to be his undoing—until he's set upon by a mystery 'Man of the Lord' and given . . . something. Whether that something is good or bad Mannion has difficulty discerning.

Saints and Sinners is a crazy, dark, storm-ridden ride through the hell of the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. Whoever manages to ride out alive—saint or sinner, or maybe a combination—will be changed forever, baptized in gun smoke and blood.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Every sentence felt like it was written in the quiet place I thought no one could reach.” — Lena M., Poet & Educator
What do you do with the words you never said aloud?
In this deeply introspective and emotionally tender novel, The Words I Folded Away invites listeners into the mind of Auren Solven—a young man rediscovering himself through letters never meant to be sent. Set in the soft aftermath of heartbreak and silence, this audiobook unfolds through journal entries, fragments, and unsent confessions that map the quiet terrain between grief and healing.
Told in a voice that is equal parts raw and poetic, Auren’s journey is not about finding closure—it’s about showing up. For the self he used to be. For the voice he once silenced. For the truths he’s finally brave enough to say out loud.
Whether you’ve known loss, questioned your place, or whispered truths into the void, The Words I Folded Away is a companion for the quiet hours—and for the listeners learning to begin again.
Perfect for fans of introspective literary fiction, queer emotional realism, and epistolary narratives that unfold with grace, vulnerability, and gentle defiance.
