Did you know that most real estate agents fail within their first year, and even more drop out after five years? So, why do they fail, and how can you succeed?
"A Tale of Two Realtors" is my story of 23 years in the real estate game, designed to help you avoid the pitfalls and find genuine success.
In this series, I compare my two different journeys as a realtor: the traditional "Charley O" and the innovative "MR. MIDDLETOWN." Through my experiences, you'll learn about the ups and downs of real estate and what it really takes to make it in this competitive industry.
Real estate success isn't just about selling a lot. It's about bouncing back from failures, being flexible, and daring to try new things. I want to show you that you don't need to be a 'guru' to make a significant impact in the real estate industry. By sharing the lessons I've learned and the strategies I've developed, I'll give you a blueprint to "reverse engineer your real estate career." My approach aims to address the six human needs within this demanding profession, setting you up for not just survival but remarkable success.
You'll also discover the unique branding system I created called Mr. Zip Code. This system helps you stand out in a crowded market and build a business that can grow and eventually be sold. It's a game-changer for any realtor looking to create a lasting legacy.
Are you ready to be a part of the 3% who not only survive but thrive and leave a lasting mark in the real estate world? Join me on this journey as I share my insights and experiences to help you achieve your goals and build a successful real estate career.

AI—including generative AI—is radically transforming business. Are you ready? Accenture technology leaders Paul Daugherty and Jim Wilson provide crucial insights and advice to help you meet the challenge.

In this updated and expanded edition of Human + Machine—including a new chapter on gen AI—Daugherty and Wilson show that the essence of the AI paradigm shift is the transformation of all business processes within an organization, whether related to breakthrough innovation, everyday customer service, or personal productivity habits. As humans and smart machines collaborate ever more closely, work processes become more fluid and adaptive, enabling companies to change them on the fly—or completely reimagine them.

Based on the authors' experience and research with fifteen hundred organizations, the book reveals how companies are using the new rules of AI to leap ahead on innovation and profitability and what you can do to achieve similar results. It describes six entirely new types of hybrid human + machine roles that every company must develop, and it includes a "leader's guide" with the five crucial principles required to become an AI-fueled business.

Winner of the 2023 PMI Project Professional of the Year*
Winner of the 2024 Goody Book Awards Best Book - Business / Management
In the run up to 2016 I was a senior manager making what I now know were dozens of mistakes every day, but fixing them with effort and determination, and stress. It nearly killed me, but as my dad says "experience is worth what it costs you", and that experience was worth a lot.
After I got out of hospital I studied everything I could about projects, agile, design thinking, psychology. facilitation human behaviours and anything else I thought would be useful to people like me. I figured out how to simplify things down and explain them to my team and stakeholders and went from being "just another" project manager working 60 hours a week, to becoming a leader in a major PLC with an empowered team who had amazing opportunities, buy-in and motivation.
After 3 years as a Chief Information Officer, coaching guiding my team to take on more and more responsibility (and get the promotions they deserved), I was able to manage my diary properly, and I went to a 4-day working week and started thinking about sharing the techniques more widely. 6 months later, I left that role and now I teach the biggest companies in Ireland how to simplify their projects and work efforts, empower their teams and generally reduce stress and achieve better outcomes all round. Many of the approaches and ideas are incredibly simple to learn and you can start using them immediately.
With stories and insights that will create several "ah-ha" moments, a lot of problems you'll recognise and even a few giggles, I hope you'll enjoy this as both entertainment and a learning experience. I guarantee that you'll take away many valuable ideas. If you don't - ping me on LinkedIn (I'm easy to find) and I'll give you double your money back.
