There are countless books about how to become a millionaire, but this book isn’t one of them. In fact, "Millionaire Beggar" takes you on a journey where riches and rags sit down for a cup of tea, laugh about life’s absurdities, and swap stories about how overrated both wealth and poverty really are. This isn’t a guide to getting rich, nor is it a cautionary tale about the pitfalls of chasing money. Instead, it’s a humorous exploration of what happens when a man who has everything decides to give it all up — not for some noble cause, but because he thought it’d be more fun to sit on a park bench with a sign that says “Spare change?”
Why write about such an unusual character? Because in a world where success is measured by the number of zeros in your bank account, I thought it’d be refreshing to dive into a life where a millionaire trades in his tailored suits for second-hand trousers and a cardboard sign. This book is an invitation to laugh at the things we take too seriously, especially money. It’s about flipping the script on what it means to be successful, and most importantly, it’s about the simple joys that come from stepping out of society’s rat race and embracing the bizarre — in style.
So, as you read, don’t worry about the moral of the story or the “right way” to live your life. Let’s just enjoy the chaos, the humour, and the adventure of a man who proves that, sometimes, being rich isn’t nearly as entertaining as sitting on the street with a sign that says, “Will beg for laughs.”

Manchester, 1977, Graham Harris a compassionate, newly qualified teacher, is struggling to inspire his class of bottom-stream 11-year-olds when a 6ft Redcoat soldier marches into the classroom and changes everything - for the children, and for Graham.
So begins his campaign to transform these young lives with a passion for drama. The trouble is, not everyone approves of his radical thinking, and dark forces in the staffroom set out to undermine his approach.

'Mr Harris Makes It Up' is a humorous heart-warming and gritty odyssey through life in a northern city at a time when kids were obsessed with Space Dust, Blue Jeans magazine and the Bay City Rollers – but it has plenty to say about the role of the arts in schools.

All she wants is a place to call home...
1884 - When Betsan Morgan’s mother succumbs to a devastating illness, she doesn't think her life could get much worse. But then her father moves in his new beau, an unserious flitty woman and coincidentally also the bargirl in the pub he works in, and she soon learns her house is no longer a home.
All she can do is sit in the attic and stare at the portrait of her mother. Her new stepmother, Elinor, couldn’t even let them have the grace of keeping it in the hallway.
When Elinor takes things too far – selling her dear mother’s beloved sewing machine – Betsan decides to flee, leaving in search of her estranged aunt, who she last heard was living in the working district of Merthyr Tydfil.
But the dank and dark place is not somewhere a twelve-year-old girl should stray alone, and lest she wants to end up in a workhouse, she’ll have to watch her step…
Immerse yourself in this heartbreaking story of a Victorian girl striving for a better life, against all odds. Perfect for those who love reading Katie Flynn, Meg Hutchinson and AnneMarie Brear.

    Mr Ledbetter's Vacation...

    H. G. Wells

Mr. Ledbetter's Vacation is a short story by H. G. Wells. Herbert George "H. G." Wells (21 September 1866 - 13 August 1946) was an English writer, now best known for his work in the science fiction genre. He was also a prolific writer in many other genres, including contemporary novels, history, politics and social commentary, even writing textbooks and rules for war games. Wells is sometimes called "The Father of Science Fiction," as are Jules Verne and Hugo Gernsback. His most notable science fiction works include The War of the Worlds, The Time Machine, The Invisible Man and The Island of Doctor Moreau. Wells's earliest specialised training was in biology, and his thinking on ethical matters took place in a specifically and fundamentally Darwinian context. He was also from an early date an outspoken socialist, often (but not always, as at the beginning of the First World War) sympathising with pacifist views. His later works became increasingly political and didactic, and he sometimes indicated on official documents that his profession was that of "Journalist." Most of his later novels were not science fiction. Some described lower-middle class life (Kipps; The History of Mr Polly), leading him to be touted as a worthy successor to Charles Dickens, but Wells described a range of social strata and even attempted, in Tono-Bungay (1909), a diagnosis of English society as a whole. Wells's first non-fiction bestseller was Anticipations of the Reaction of Mechanical and Scientific Progress Upon Human Life and Thought (1901). When originally serialised in a magazine it was subtitled, "An Experiment in Prophecy," and is considered his most explicitly futuristic work. It offered the immediate political message of the privileged sections of society continuing to bar capable men from other classes from advancement until war would force a need to employ those most able, rather than the traditional upper classes, as leaders. Anticipating what the world would be like in the year 2000, the book is interesting both for its hits (trains and cars resulting in the dispersion of population from cities to suburbs; moral restrictions declining as men and women seek greater sexual freedom; the defeat of German militarism, and the existence of a European Union) and its misses (he did not expect successful aircraft before 1950, and averred that "my imagination refuses to see any sort of submarine doing anything but suffocate its crew and founder at sea").
