Summary

Actor Mason Rivera never expected his father’s company to collapse overnight—or that the only way to save it would involve fake “I do’s” with billionaire recluse Julian Blackthorne. Once just friends-with-benefits, the two men find themselves thrust into a marriage of convenience designed to calm investors, silence the press, and convince the world they’re the perfect couple.

For Mason, it’s supposed to be simple—play the part, smile for the cameras, and get through thirty days without falling for the man who makes him burn with equal parts desire and frustration. For Julian, control is everything, and opening his heart has never been an option. But when staged kisses start to linger and late-night banter turns into something dangerously intimate, neither can keep pretending the lines aren’t blurring.

Paparazzi flashes, whispered rumors, and the weight of their deal push them closer together—and further toward the truth neither is ready to face. Behind closed doors, passion ignites. In public, their chemistry convinces the world. But as the end of the month looms, Mason and Julian must decide: was it all an act, or have their fake vows become something real enough to risk everything for?

When the curtain falls, will they walk away as strangers…or finally admit they’ve been falling in love all along?

When a tornado nearly wipes the town of Croy, Oklahoma, off the map, Lerner Alquist, its wealthiest citizen, vows to memorialize the wife he lost by building a magnificent library. It is a splendid goal, but hard times keep delaying it. By 1952, Alquist needs one final ornament to make it complete: a sculpture over the main entrance. Pursuing that vision sets in motion a series of events that uncovers the racism, religious bigotry, and sexual tensions that underlie the town. If I Remember Him blends historical context with public triumphs and personal tragedies to portray a town torn between its better angels and its old wounds.

All that time apart and yet the pull between them is as strong as ever . . .

Rys: Ten years ago Gabriel Mason betrayed me in the worst way. He made me question my instincts because I'd trusted him with a bone-deep certainty, and for that I will never forgive him. Seeing him again after all this time sparks memories I thought I'd buried so far down they'd never surface. He's as beautiful as I remember, but I'm older and wiser now, and I refuse to make the same mistakes again.

Gabriel: Rys Calder, wolf shifter and the biggest regret of my life. I loved him, and yet I didn't share with him the one thing that eventually became our undoing. I broke his trust and I've carried that guilt for years. I knew seeing him again would hurt, but no matter how many times I'd imagined it, being on the receiving end of his cold stares and indifference hurt more than I'd anticipated.

Thrown together again with a killer on the loose, will the past continue to haunt them, or can they move past it and claim the future that fate always had in store for them?
