Summary

In ‘Marlowe - Soul’d to the Devil’, you will read how this ambitious Divinity student from Canterbury and Cambridge became a poet and playwright as well as Shakespeare’s most serious rival. Moving from Cambridge to London, Marlowe writes smash-hit plays, erotic poetry and also acts as an informer for Queen Elizabeth’s spymaster, Walsingham. As such he is also sent to France and Holland to spy on the queen’s potential enemies. However, back home, despite his success with ‘Tamburlaine’ and ‘Doctor Faustus’, he makes some powerful enemies through his unconventional views and alleged sexual preferences. As a result his meteoric career crashes in an unexpected way.

The wolves of Odin land in Italy, and the tantalising scent of gold is in the air…
AD 1043. Having escaped Constantinople with their lives – barely – but not their ship, Halfdan and the wolves of Odin are now mercenaries in the Byzantine army, sailing to Apulia in Italy to help retake territory from the Normans.

But cracks are beginning to show among the tight-knit wolves. Gunnhild, having forsaken the fate woven for her by the Norns in order to continue her journey with Halfdan, has lost her ability to communicate with the goddess Freyja, and so glimpse the future. And Ketil the Icelander, having watched his ship, the Sea Wolf, stolen from him yet again, grows resentful, as seemingly every decision Halfdan makes leads them further from his original promise of riches and renown.

But aboard their ship is an official with secret orders for the general in charge of the Italian campaign, Maniakes. The orders will throw everything into chaos, and put a fork in the path of the wolves of Odin. Each will have a choice to make: loyalty to themselves, or to the pack?

The thrilling third instalment in the Wolves of Odin series, with a gripping hunt across a war-torn Italy. Perfect for fans of Giles Kristian and Bernard Cornwell.

When the Moon Fell by Morrison Colladay - In a world on the brink of catastrophe due to an unknown lunar invader, one man's survival amidst universal apathy reveals the chaos that gripped humanity. As he recounts his extraordinary journey to rescue stranded aviators, the threads of history intertwine with the impending doom facing civilization.
Now that we who survived have reconstructed a civilization on a rational basis, we want to preserve for future generations as many accounts as possible by the actual witnesses of the catastrophe that overtook the world.
In 1929 certain curious aberrations in the motion of the moon were noticed by astronomers, and attempts to explain them were made by suggesting that the solar system had been invaded by an unknown visitor which had not yet been discovered. It is still believed that this is the most likely explanation of what occurred. When this invader approached the earth, it probably passed between it and the moon. Its velocity must have been so great that it continued on its course in spite of the attraction of the earth. However, it disturbed the balance of forces sufficiently to draw the moon from its orbit and start its headlong progress toward us.
I was away in Labrador when all this occurred, and it is due to that fact that I am alive today. The things that happened in the densely inhabited portions of the globe will be recounted by survivors who were eye witnesses. It is sufficient to say that when the news of the impending catastrophe became known a universal apathy seemed to settle over humanity. It was apparently overwhelmed by the hopelessness of any effort to escape. The religious people of the period regarded the coming event as fulfillment of a prophecy of the destruction of the world in the Last Day. People who had never before been religious became so in an hour.

Warning: Explicit Content. An ENF Submissive Female Story of Intense Humiliation. "Husbands Back in Charge" Series. Poor Lyle Morgan. It’s humiliating enough to be low wage-earner, living with his equally underpaid wife Penny in a cheap apartment. But now, having yet another application for a business loan turned down is even more humiliating.

Lyle wasn’t asking for the moon. He and Penny just want to open a nice, little diner somewhere. It’s been their dream for years. But Roger Fish, the loan officer at the same bank where Lyle works as a janitor, has turned him down yet again. That is, until Lyle goes out into the lobby to tell Penny the bad news, and Mr. Fish happens to notice what a beautiful and sexy woman Penny is. Within seconds, the two are invited back into Mr. Fish’s office.

There, they are handed the most outlandish—and immoral—deal imaginable. Mr. Fish, his eyes all over Penny in her cute and sexy yellow gingham dress, has just offered to place hundred-dollar bills into their hands—a lot of them—if Penny will grant him certain privileges with her body—very naughty privileges.

Well, this modest, salt-of-the-earth couple is outraged—and completely unwilling to comply with such a lewd offer. But, goodness, they are so low on funds. And those hundred-dollar bills that Mr. Fish is waving in front of them sure would come in handy.

Soon, against Lyle’s and Penny’s better judgment, Penny’s incredible body is exposed and up for grabs right in this banker’s office. And that’s not all. There seems no limit to Mr. Fish’s dirty-minded demands…and no limit to the money he’s willing to offer. So, no matter how humiliated Penny becomes, the demands just keep coming, and poor Penny is pushed to the limits of how much shame a modest woman like her can endure.
