  RYKO – A Wild Life is a full cast audio-drama that brings to life the exciting story of Ted Ryko, an adventurous cyclist and photographer who travelled extensively across Australia’s mysterious, dangerous and ‘tantalising’ Top End in 1914-17. Ryko had conquered the nearly 3000 km (2000 miles) overland cycling record from Adelaide across the desert to the frontier town of Darwin but he soon discovered a divided society that pushed him to new limits. 
  The story is an intensely human drama based on real events and presents an authentic representation of the historical, political and cultural context of the time challenging views of prejudice and disenfranchisement, dual citizenship, xenophobia and paranoia in a multi-cultural, de-stabilised environment. It provides a voice for the contribution that the disenfranchised Chinese made to Australia, recognition of Australians of German descent who were persecuted during WW1 and the uncovering of a proto-treaty from the brutalised and marginalised Indigenous people. 
  The production accentuates themes of cultural story-telling through a mix of indigenous, western and eastern music and language, all wrapped in classic Australian humour.

  Robby Gallaty is not who you think he is.  In Recovered, pastor and author Robby Gallaty tells the story of how God radically saved him from his addictions and called him into a life of discipleship.  Robby grew up in a very religious Catholic family who attended church every Sunday and confession on Saturday if needed. Very rarely did he miss a Saturday night dinner and a movie with his parents and sister Lori. You can imagine how devastated they were when Robby stole $15,000 from them to fuel his drug addiction.  Two years earlier, he was rear-ended on his way home from work by an 18-wheeler. Two herniated discs in his neck and back forced him to rely on pharmaceutical drugs to cope with the pain. Within three months, he transitioned to street drugs, heroine, and cocaine, after blowing through his 30-day prescription in two weeks. Robbing his parents was the only option to prolong his drug habit.  Shortly thereafter, Robby hit rock bottom. But God wasn't done with him. After a trip to rehab followed by a relapse and a second rehab visit, Robby surrendered his life to Christ, and nothing has ever been the same. This is a story of salvation and new life.

  This booklet is grown from careless, partly lost notes that had been sent to relatives and classmates several years ago. It dates back to an era before the flood and pandemic, and war struck worse than ever. Retired because of my poor eyesight, my interest in literature had awakened, and the exchange seemed worthwhile once more. Thus this little booklet has still been gathered. This English translation has been corrected and slightly extended. The older German version is available as an audiobook, together with some music. My heartfelt thanks go to everyone involved.

In addition, Rothe and pianist Thomas Turner have also developed a repertoire of classical music for flute and piano and recorded and released three CDs. This collection also contains several of their transcriptions.
