Summary

Time takes everything away. 
Nothing can defeat it, nothing can change it, entropy will always run its course, but there are always people who try to resist it, trying to make themselves immortal in some way. Whether they will succeed is always a question, but how many will be dragged down in the attempt, and how long it will take time to erase the traces of the past. 
Because immortality does not exist.
