Summary

An elite corporate security operative is framed for a kidnapping, forcing him into a life and death struggle which threatens to reveal a plot that could lead to the end of the world as we know it.

Carson Brand believes he is leaving the problems he had with the DEA and the FBI behind when he gives up his work as a federal contractor. Taking a job with Sovereign Services, an elite private security firm, lands him once again into the complicated world of national and international intrigue. Framed for a kidnapping he did not commit, Brand has to elude the FBI’s Abduction Task Force and a state police force convinced he is one of the FBI’s most wanted.

Learning that one of their elite operatives has gone rogue, Sovereign Services acts quickly to salvage what is left of their spotless reputation and sends a team of their most deadly killers to rescue the daughter of one of the richest men in the world, and exact deadly retribution for Brand’s betrayal.

Sovereign Rule follows Carson Brand’s fall from grace from the most dangerous corporate security firm on the planet. His only chance to save the life of the girl he is accused of kidnapping, and his own, is to uncover a conspiracy that goes to the highest levels of the federal government. Born a year apart, May and June Anderson were once as close as twins. Time and a loveless marriage changed the once vibrant May into June's timid counterpart. Now, two years after June abruptly disappeared, May receives a letter from her sister, inviting her to visit a mysterious colony in southern California. Eager to match June's boldness for once, May doesn't hesitate.

The Colony is located in a magnificent Spanish Revival-style mansion perched on a bluff overlooking the Pacific, and is presided over by the group's charismatic leader, Rex. May is told that June has recently left on a mission, and she's intrigued enough to accept Rex's invitation to stay until her sister's return.

Drawn deeper into the group, and under Rex's seductive spell, May undergoes their initiation ceremony. Yet her questions grow more urgent with June's continued absence—and the warnings of a presumptuous but charming undercover investigator. What if every vote you cast, every political movement you believed in, every democratic choice you made was nothing more than calculated output from an algorithm designed to maintain the illusion of freedom? Investigative journalist Maya Lennox stumbles upon the truth behind PULSE—an AI-driven system so sophisticated it doesn't just predict elections, it orchestrates them. From manufactured candidates to engineered crises, from social media manipulation to the very fabric of political discourse, nothing is real. Everything is code.
As Maya delves deeper into the conspiracy, she discovers a shadowy network of power brokers led by the enigmatic Xander Cole, a mastermind who has perfected the art of democratic manipulation. From Swiss Alps boardrooms to Silicon Valley server farms, from Capitol Hill to digital underground resistance movements, the battle for humanity's free will reaches a breaking point. But in a world where reality itself is programmable, can truth still prevail? Or has democracy already been deleted from existence?
STEALING DEMOCRACY is a metafictional techno-political thriller that blurs the lines between narrative and reality, challenging listeners to question: In the age of AI and algorithmic control, was your choice ever truly yours? Narrated by Bradford Sinclair with a full voice cast featuring Adeline Harper, Samuel Cross, Grant Wyatt, and more.
