Summary

Microsoft's Mixer, formerly called Beam, is a relatively new and better way to do live broadcast streaming. With a few clicks, you can go live and broadcast your gameplay or other content using your PC, XBox, or phone with minimal latency.
Officially launched in early 2016, the free-to-use service focuses on providing live broadcasts related mainly to video games. Mixer is not the only platform of its kind in the industry. (Competitors include Amazon's Twitch.tv, and Smashcast.)
Though Mixer is not your only option for live broadcasting, it does have a few features that give it an edge when compared to its competitors.
This book, "Mixer Mania: Mixer Streaming for Beginners" is your overview to the service. This book gives a good overview of the history of Mixer, how to get started, setup, and manage a channel on Mixer, as well as how to gain a following and make money on Mixer.
Available since: 08/10/2019.

Can a two-career couple really pick up stakes and move to Provence?Keith and Val had a dream-to live in Provence, the land of brilliant sunlight, charming hilltop villages, and the deep blue waters of the Mediterranean. But there were two problems: they weren't French speakers and they had full-time jobs. So they came up with a plan . . .Follow their adventures (and misadventures) as they quit their jobs, become consultants, and split their time between two countries. Laugh along as they build a life in Provence, slowly mastering a new language and making friends with the locals over long meals and just a bit too much wine. This light and breezy memoir is full of wry observations on France, like the power of cheese to sway elections, the right and wrong ways for men to kiss each other, and the law requiring that blood donors must speak French. If you've ever dreamed of changing gears and learning what joie de vivre is really all about, you won't want to miss this delightful book.

The author of Dad Humor offers an entertaining look at American history’s geniuses, leaders, and dunderheads in a clever quest to define brilliance.   With dry humor and a wealth of fascinating trivia, Bart King explores what it means for a person to be brilliant. What he discovers is that brilliant people are those who walk farther, think deeper, and talk louder than the rest of us. They do what it takes to get the job done—and then some.   The masters of brilliance profiled here include presidential candidate John Lindsay, who released chickens into his opponent’s crowd to spur on a debate; the first female journalist, Anne Newport Royall, who forced an interview with John Quincy Adams after catching him skinny dipping; and Benjamin Franklin, who of course coined the phrase "A penny saved is a penny earned," but also offered the lesser known "A man who lives on hope, dies farting."

Dahris Martin, a young American in search of sun, arrived in the holy city of Kairouan in the late 1920s. Befriended by the roguish Kalifa, she is welcomed into his circle of friends and family. Among the Faithful is a unique portrait of traditional Tunisian society. It tells of barefoot pilgrims and bedouin, the deflowering of virgin brides, spirit possession and dances held for djinn. It sings the praises of the unsung: Eltifa the blind musician, Zinibe (who had a heart for all the world) and the entrancing, dancing Aisha. Dahris Martin witnessed domestic life in Tunisia from within, a privilege she shares without pretension, with affection and with a sure lightness of touch.
