Summary

In the whimsical village of Threadmere, nestled among hills like plumped cotton batting and trees spun from emerald floss, memory quilts are more than handcrafted keepsakes—they're living tapestries woven with enchanted thread, each stitch a vibrant tableau of a life lived.  Marlowe Stitch, a young woman with eyes the color of faded denim and hair like spun moonlight, possesses such a quilt, a chronicle of her joys and sorrows. But one crisp autumn afternoon, a scarlet thread comes loose, unraveling not just a stitch, but a precious childhood memory, leaving a gaping hole where a cherished day once resided. This unraveling sets Marlowe on a perilous quest to the legendary Loom of Eternity, a mythical artifact whispered to weave the very fabric of reality, holding the power to mend even the most frayed edges of remembrance. The Loom resides within the treacherous Shifting Sands Desert, a landscape of whispering dunes that rearrange themselves with every sunrise, patrolled by Memory Moths, iridescent winged creatures that feed on forgotten experiences.Chance brings Marlowe to Finnick Holt, a charming traveling tailor haunted by carefully stitched-away sorrows. His nimble fingers, though adept at mending seams, fumble with the threads of his own past.  And to Kristopher Hanson, a quiet cartographer whose patchwork map, inked with shimmering prophetic threads, holds cryptic clues to the Loom's hidden location. Together, they venture beyond Threadmere’s cobbled streets, into the Whispering Woods, where leaves rustle with echoes of forgotten lullabies and the air hums with unseen magic. Their journey will lead them through a labyrinth of shifting willows, down the moth-infested Valley of Whispers, and to a hidden community of nomadic seamstresses, the Keepers of Whispers, guardians of forgotten stories.  They'll face illusions born of their deepest fears and uncover secrets woven into the very fabric of their beings. For the Loom of Eternity doesn't simply restore lost memories; it demands a confrontation with the full spectrum of life’s tapestry—the joy and the sorrow—and the courage to weave them back together in balance.  Dare to follow the threads of this enchanting tale and discover the magic that binds memory, identity, and the enduring power of a single stitch in time.

It's been said, "You may not think you're at war. But a surprise attack by an enemy means they are at war with you, so you'd best prepare." Metaphorically, the same can be said of an apprentice of war. There was no doubt, Hannibal Barca was a master of war. Since he came down from the Alps and swept away the Roman Legions sent to stop him, he proved it to Rome and to the rest of the ancient world.

Yet, from the first engagement on Republic soil, Hannibal attracted an apprentice. Unknown to the great Carthaginian General, a teen in the first battle of the 2nd Punic War began to learn from the master. He went through all the stages: That of an ill-equipped young man with a thirst for vengeance; later, a brash officer willing to test himself against the odds; and finally, to a leader who understood his own weaknesses.

Cornelius Scipio began to apply the lessons of Hannibal Barca and sharpen his skills in preparation to fulfill his fate. For now, he would focus his talents on Hannibal's brother and the other Carthaginian generals in Iberia. But an unexpected foe would insert itself into his plans. And he would learn not all victories are decided from dawn to death. Some come at you in the afternoon from unexpected directions.

Little Dorrit is a novel by Charles Dickens, originally published in serial form between 1855 and 1857. The story features Amy Dorrit, youngest child of her family, born and raised in the Marshalsea prison for debtors in London. Arthur Clennam encounters her after returning home from a 20-year absence, ready to begin his life anew.
The novel satirises some shortcomings of both government and society, including the institution of debtors' prisons, where debtors were imprisoned, unable to work and yet incarcerated until they had repaid their debts. The prison in this case is the Marshalsea, where Dickens's own father had been imprisoned. Dickens is also critical of the impotent bureaucracy of the British government, in this novel in the form of the fictional Circumlocution Office. Dickens satirises the stratification of society that results from the British class system, too.

In a land where yesterday’s laws lie buried beneath ash and silence, a man clings to what little remains: a house no longer a home, and a life stripped bare by loss. The war didn’t just take people—it erased purpose, leaving him to drift through the wreckage.
But when two enslaved strangers are forced into his care, the ground beneath him begins to shift. One speaks little but watches everything. The other burns with quiet rebellion. Neither came to be saved—but their presence plants questions where despair once settled deep.
As the fragile line between survival and surrender begins to blur, the man finds himself at a crossroads. In a place where mercy is rare and neutrality is dangerous, doing nothing may be the worst betrayal of all.
This is not about heroes. It’s about the moment before the match is struck.

The acclaimed historical mystery series A Dickens of a Crime continues with a reimagining of Charles Dickens's classic Oliver Twist, filled with murder, mystery, and a young Dickens himself as the amateur sleuth. In other words, "Please, can we have some more!"

Harrow-on-the-Hill, March 1836: In a sense, orphans Ollie, John, and Arthur have always been treasure hunters. The mudlarks have gone from a hardscrabble life scavenging the banks of the Thames for bits and bobs to becoming students at a boarding school outside of London, thanks to the kind and generous intercession of Charles Dickens. But now they're missing—as is, apparently, a treasure map.

When Charles arrives at the school, he's hit with another twist—the servant girl who was allegedly in possession of the map has been strangled in the icehouse. Unbeknownst to them on their spirited adventure, his young friends may be in mortal danger. Now Charles and his fiancée Kate Hogarth, who has come to join him in the search for the runaways, must artfully dodge false leads and red herrings to find the boys and the map—before X marks the spot of their graves . . .
