Sinopsis

One winter morning, Harvey Painter, a young poet, is visited at home by a fan, who introduces herself as Anna Geller. The two spend hours together talking about his writing. As Anna prepares to leave, she reveals that she too is a poet—a poet who, so far, has written only one poem, titled, Body of Winter, which she gives to Harvey before hastily exiting his apartment and his life.

Thirty years later, an investigative reporter stumbles upon an extraordinary story. For almost three decades, a woman who goes by the name of Anna Geller has secretly visited and given poems to people in countries around the world. The mystery surrounding the poet, whose whereabouts are unknown, along with the unequalled quality of her work, turn Anna Geller into a literary sensation. Her poems, all handwritten, soar in value. Anna Geller conventions are held the world over. Armies of people begin searching for her. Harvey, now a teacher, is swept up in a celebrity-by-association maelstrom and soon becomes the most famous, then infamous, of all the poet’s gift-recipients, particularly after he falls victim to an elaborate scheme to steal Body of Winter.

Brian Prousky’s magnificently rendered novel is both a loving tribute to poets and poetry and withering critique of the cult of celebrity.

Beatrix thought she’d left magic behind – until it came knocking on her door.
Being a private investigator wasn’t supposed to be complicated. I expected cheating spouses and missing pets like BonBon, a kidnapped ‘pure-bred Schnoodle’ with a ruby-studded collar. What I didn’t expect was a desperate elf on my doorstep, begging for help to find her missing parents. Nor did I think that my search would drag me back into the magical world I’d tried so hard to leave behind.
I’m Beatrix Stonehaven, empath, martial artist and a magical dud in a long line of exceptional witches. But when a routine case reveals a demon lurking in the shadows, it’s clear that even my mediocre magic might not be enough. Between tracking the elf’s missing loved ones, dodging the secrets of my past and dealing with a stray pup who may be smarter than I am, I’ve got my hands full.
With a knack for finding trouble and a lifetime of kicking butt, I’m diving headfirst into a tangled web of magic, mystery and mayhem because ‘simple’ cases don’t exist in my line of work – and the stakes are always higher than they seem.
Perfect for fans of strong heroines, lovable animal sidekicks, and heart-racing urban fantasy, Secrets of the Frostbound Cottage delivers action, charm, and supernatural surprises. With stand-alone mysteries, sharp humour, and a swoon-worthy slow-burn romance spanning the series, it’s an unmissable treat.

In Barbara Ross's award-winning series featuring sleuth Julia Snowden and her family's coastal Maine clambake business, Morrow Island is a perfect spot for a wedding—and a Snowden Family Clambake. Julia Snowden is busy organizing both—until a mysterious wedding crasher drops dead amid the festivities . . .

Julia's best friend and business partner, Zoey, is about to marry her policeman boyfriend. Of course, a gorgeous white wedding dress shouldn't be within fifty yards of a plate of buttery lobster—so that treat is reserved for the rehearsal dinner. Julia is a little worried about the timing, though, as she works around a predicted storm.

When a guest falls to the floor dead, it turns out that no one seems to know who he is, despite the fact that he's been actively mingling and handing out business cards. And when an injection mark is spotted on his neck, it's clear this wasn't caused by a shellfish allergy. Now, as the weather deteriorates and a small group is stranded on the island with the body—and the killer—Julia starts interrogating staff, family members, and Zoey's artist friends to find out who turned the clambake into a crime scene . . .

One chaotic hip-hop dancer with no direction in life. One outrageously handsome scientist who is determined to go back to the Antarctic. Over a shared interest in beekeeping, things start to heat up. But can the path to true love ever flow as smoothly as honey?

Sunny Moritz needs a change. She’s thirty-three, single, weary of?tedious romances with the wrong kind of men?and, according to her disappointed parents, drifting about like a tumbleweed. Her former high school crush, orthopaedic surgeon Adam Harrison,?might be meeting all her physical demands (and requiring a subtotal of zero emotional headspace), but what about the rest of her life?

When Sunny decides to start beekeeping, the man with the information she needs is an?odd, enigmatic and indecently sexy Antarctic scientist. Surely, though, she's way?too pragmatic to be affected by his magnetism …

But as her hunger for meaning starts to bloom, Sunny begins to think that maybe it’s not too late to reconnect with her parents, maybe it’s time to start dancing again and maybe even?she?could have a lasting relationship.

Dancing with Bees ?is easy to read, but hard to put down. In the tradition of Emily Henry and Marian Keyes, this delightful novel bubbles with charm, warmth and humour, but also speaks of the important things in life – like love.
