Aside from being the son of a former New York Senator and U.S. Attorney General, and the nephew of a former United States President, Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. has a lot more going for him. He works as an attorney, as well as an environmental activist and as a syndicated talk radio personality in New York City. Kennedy was born on January 17, 1954, in Washington, D.C. After graduating from the Millbrook Academy in Gloucestershire, England, Kennedy went on to study at Harvard University and the London School of Ethics, graduating with a bachelor's degree in American history and literature in 1976. He then went on to get doctoral and master's degrees from the University of Virginia and Pace University, respectively, in the field of law. The Waterkeeper Alliance, a worldwide umbrella organization that helps local environmental groups in their efforts to safeguard their particular bodies of water, was created by him in 1999.
