Online romance fraud is a problem across the globe. It causes financial and emotional devastation, yet many people refuse to take it seriously. This is the story of one middle-aged woman in a cardigan determined to understand this growing phenomenon.
No other woman has had so many online romances – from Keanu Reeves to Brad Pitt to Prince William – and Becky Holmes is a favourite among peacekeeping soldiers and oil rig workers who desperately need iTunes vouchers. By winding up scammers and investigating the truth behind their profiles, Becky shines a revealing, revolting and hilarious light on a very shady corner of the internet.
Featuring first-hand accounts of victims, examples of scripts used by fraudsters, a look into the psychology of fraud and of course plenty of Becky's hysterical interactions with scammers, this is a must-read for anyone who needs a reminder that Keanu Reeves is NOT in love with them.

This book is about the journey of a sadhak, her transformation through the practice of Mahavatar Babaji's Kriya Yoga and close association to her Guru Yogiraj Siddhanath in the true Guru-Shishya parampara.A fun loving and cherished child, Jyoti grew up absorbing deliberations on the Bhagavad Gita, intoning Sanskrit mantras to perfection, performing yoga asanas and traditional pujas with ease, guided by her parents lovingly into a sattvic way of life. Growing up to be a restless young woman seeking nothing yet experimenting with everything, her curiosity took her to Crystal Healing to Reiki to Magnified Healing to Sweat Lodge and dancing around the fire in Shamanic rites. Little did she know that during a recorded guided meditation at a seminar she will see a vision of the satguru/master Yogiraj Siddhanath who will propel her on a fast-track evolutionary path of Mahavatar Babaji’s Kriya Yoga. In the book she takes you with ease and humour along this very personal journey unabashed and often brutally honest without guile, giving you glimpses of past lives across several civilisations, paranormal experiences in the present and manifold realms of existence, throughout which one link remains intact and steadfast - the link that binds the true disciple to their true guru. Today, as a senior disciple of Yogiraj Siddhanath she travels in India and worldwide sharing her learning with others, living and helping others to live joyously with grace, meeting all adversity with equanimity. The book is a reminder of the integrity disciples must have towards their master and how that helps their inner awakening. Includes Gurunath’s easy to practice 9 ancient yogic techniques.

"A pioneering member of the Windrush generation of Caribbean migrants who marked the symbolic beginning of a multicultural Britain." - The Guardian
RAF Veteran and Prince's Trust Awardee, Alford Dalrymple Gardner was one of the last living passengers to have travelled on the Empire Windrush.
Now published in paperback, Finding Home is his stirring life story.

On 22nd June 1948, the Empire Windrush sailed from Kingston, Jamaica, to harbour at Tilbury Docks. It carried 1,027 passengers and two stowaways, and more than two thirds of them were West Indies nationals. Alford Dalrymple Gardner was among them.

Alford's story traverses both the uplifting highs and intolerant lows that West Indian migrants of his generation encountered upon travelling to Britain to forge out a life. From joining the British military during World War II to being forcibly deported back to Jamaica once it was won-only to come back to the UK when the government decided it needed him again-Alford witnessed milestone events of the 20th century that shaped the country he still lives in today.

In the context of a supposedly 'post-Imperial' Britain where the lives of West Indian migrants hang precariously on the whims of the Home Office, Alford's heartening testimony is a celebration of those who endured hardships so that generations to come could call this place home.

Today, Alford's portrait is a part of the Royal Collection Trust as commissioned by King Charles III in 2023, and he is a regular face and voice on the likes of The BBC, Channel 4, Sky News and more as his story continues to embody for all, the spirit of joyous resilience.

"To decide the great question: Can societies of men establish good government through reflection and choice?"

When the U.S. Constitution was first drafted, its success was far from guaranteed. The Federalist Papers represent the intellectual "battle plan" that won the heart of a nation. In these essays, three of America's greatest minds dismantle the failures of the Articles of Confederation and build a soaring defense of a strong, energetic Union. They tackle the toughest questions of power: How do we prevent a majority from oppressing a minority? How do we keep leaders from becoming tyrants? Through a blend of historical analysis and revolutionary political theory, Hamilton, Madison, and Jay provide a masterclass in the science of self-governance.

The Logic of Checks and Balances: Perhaps the most famous contribution is Federalist No. 51, where Madison famously argues that "ambition must be made to counteract ambition." This collection explains the necessity of the separation of powers, ensuring that the three branches of government remain distinct and mutually constrained to protect individual liberty.

Curing the "Mischiefs of Faction": In Federalist No. 10, Madison addresses the danger of special interest groups. He argues that a large republic is actually better than a small one at preventing any single faction from dominating the rest—a groundbreaking theory that changed the course of political science.

Why It Is the Ultimate Civic Manual: Whether you are a law student, a history buff, or an active citizen, The Federalist Papers is the key to understanding the American experiment. It is not just a relic of the 18th century; it is a living document cited by the Supreme Court to this day to determine the original intent of the Founders.
