Astrid has lived in the rhubarb shed her whole life. The outside world is dangerous, Mama explains; she will understand when she’s older, but she cannot set foot beyond the door. Astrid longs to see the world; to meet other children; to live in the farmhouse with Mama. But what she longs for most of all is to see the stars.
Then one night, a stranger unlocks the shed: a stranger with wings. She has come to take Astrid to a secret city in the sky called London Overhead, far above the highest peak of the Shard. For Astrid, like her, is a Librae – and will soon grow wings of her own . . .
Astrid is swept into a breathtaking and magical world of new friendships, sweeping adventures and unimaginable discoveries at the ancient, beautiful school for Librae students: Starminster. But quickly she learns that all is not well in the glimmering city. And when rumours abound of missing children in London Underfoot, she begins to realise that Mama may have been right about the dangers waiting for Astrid all along . . .
The final action-packed chapters will leave the reader on the edge of their seat, eagerly anticipating the next book in the series. The social dynamics and challenges Astrid faces in Starminster are a reflexion of real-world issues, making this children's fiction both entertaining and thought-provoking.

Would you still believe in God if aliens exist? A Christian family is faced with that difficult question when THEO, a typical nine-year-old homeschooler, watches an alien orb fall from space and land in a nearby forest.
My name is Elijah and I am a Christian author and I aim to write fiction in multiple categories that not only avoid evil concepts, but actively point my readers to King Jesus and His amazing works.
My wife and I homeschool our children and I wanted to write a book featuring homeschooler elements casually. You'll notice many novel Christian concepts are assumed in this book. That was also one of the goals of this book. I want the kids reading this book to not feel othered by being a homeschooling Christian. After all, there aren't many books with a main character in that demographic!
The main goal of this book, of course, is to address the growing concerns within the church about aliens. We are shown alien-filled Hollywood propaganda constantly and have been for several decades. Why? And why are UAP/UFO/ET sightings on the rise? Why is it that all the conservative podcasters are adamant that aliens are not only real, but have communicated with our world before? Are we seeing a return of Genesis 6-like events where demonic forces are deceiving people by the millions into disgusting practices and worship? Maybe. So why don't we talk to our kids about aliens, but from a proud and victorious Christian perspective? If aliens are real what does that mean about the existence of God?
Join me and my children in this dialogue by reading this new book... ORB: A Sci-Fi Story for Kids.

These stories were the original ones collected by Charles Perrault and published in French in 1696. You may have heard of some of them and they are probably a bit different than what you may expect, coming from an age and time when the ears of our children were not considered so delicate." For example: "Grandmamma, what great teeth you have got!" "That is to eat thee up." And, saying these words, this wicked Wolf fell upon Little Red Riding-hood, and ate her all up." end of story.
