Understanding self-sabotage is the first step.

But understanding alone doesn’t change the pattern.

You can recognize the moment you're about to procrastinate…
see yourself pulling away from opportunity…
or feel the urge to ruin something that was going well…

    …and still sabotage it anyway.

That gap between awareness and action is where most people stay stuck.

This audiobook focuses on what to actually do in that moment.

Stop Self-Sabotage: The Practice of Self-Trust provides the practical skills needed to interrupt self-sabotage and start building a different response.

Across five focused sessions, you'll learn how to:

    • Recognize self-sabotage in real time before it takes over
    • Pause between urge and action so you can choose differently
    • Build tolerance for success, visibility, and progress
    • Work with discomfort instead of escaping it through sabotage
    • Create external support systems that reinforce change
    • Take action toward what you want even when resistance appears

    Self-sabotage isn’t a discipline problem.

It’s a deep emotional pattern designed to protect you — even when that protection is no longer needed.

Breaking that pattern requires more than motivation.

    It requires practice.

The practices in this audiobook gradually build the capacity to stay with success, tolerate discomfort, and make choices that align with what you actually want.

This is Book 2 in the Self-Sabotage series.

    Not quick fixes.
    Not motivational tricks.

But practical tools that work when you practice them consistently.

Because self-sabotage doesn’t disappear through insight alone.

It changes through practice… and self-trust built one decision at a time.

Having sailed with Sir Francis Drake, swashbuckling privateer Rodney Hawkhurst yearns for a galleon of his own with which to plunder the Spanish Main in the name of Queen Elizabeth. Seeking investment from Sir Harry Gillingham, he has a fleeting encounter with an elfin, tomboyish golden-red-haired beauty ? Sir Harry?s youngest daughter Lizbeth ? and is bewitched by her limpid green eyes. Yet it is fair and golden-haired elder sister Phillida with whom he first falls in love... Granted his finances on the condition that Sir Harry?s weak, possibly even traitorous son sails with him in the hope that the mission will make him a man, Rodney embarks on a voyage of blood, honour and glory in which he gains great riches but loses his heart, not once, but twice. The risks are great but so are the rewards: wealth beyond compare and, as Rodney finally discovers, a greater, deeper, more passionate love than he ever imagined possible.

Situated in the early decades of the magnificent Mughal Empire, this first ever biography of Princess Gulbadan offers an enthralling portrait of a charismatic adventurer and unique pictures of the multicultural society in which she lived. Following a migratory childhood that spanned Kabul and north India, Gulbadan spent her middle years in a walled harem established by her nephew Akbar to showcase his authority as the Great Emperor. Gulbadan longed for the exuberant itinerant lifestyle she'd known. With Akbar's blessing, she led an unprecedented sailing and overland voyage and guided harem women on an extended pilgrimage in Arabia. Amid increasing political tensions, the women's "un-Islamic" behavior forced their return, lengthened by a dramatic shipwreck in the Red Sea.

Gulbadan wrote a book upon her return, the only extant work of prose by a woman of the age. A portion of it is missing, either lost to history or redacted by officials who did not want the princess to have her say.

Vagabond Princess contemplates the story of the missing pages and breathes new life into a daring historical figure. It offers a portal to a richly complex world, rife with movement and migration, where women's conviviality, adventure, and autonomies shine through.

From World War Two to the Jet Age, Ian Mackersey charts the thrilling and personal accounts of airmen who have jumped from their planes and survived.

Since the test pilot Harold Harris became the first man to save his life with a parachute in 1922 there have been over 120,000 air force pilots and crew who owe their lives to their parachutes.

Into the Silk is full of astounding tales of people who against the odds bailed out of their planes and were therefore able to enter the annals of the Caterpillar Club, a society open only to men and women who survive aviation disaster with the aid of a parachute.

Mackersey records dramatic moments during the Second World War when pilots leapt from their burning planes while still being shot at by enemy fighters. He uncovers the descent of the extraordinarily lucky man who jumped from his damaged bomber but had to put his parachute on while falling through the sky and the pilot who found himself attached to a moving train and was dragged along for miles.

The book highlights the debts that all of these survivors owe to people such as Leslie Irvin, who invented the modern parachute and Sir James Martin, the great designer of ejection seats.

Trajan has been considered one of the greatest and best-known of all Roman emperors, and not simply because the Roman Empire reached its greatest extent during his 19-year reign. In addition to his military achievements, he also developed the administration of the government so successfully that his relationships with the Senate and the people were extraordinarily positive. Cassius Dio would write of him, “His association with the people was marked by affability and his intercourse with the Senate by dignity so that he was loved by all and dreaded by none save the enemy.” Perhaps one of the most unusual steps taken by Trajan, one that added to his popularity and reputation, was his scheme to help the poor and children in particular. He set imperial funds, known as alimenta, aside to provide for their upkeep. The policy lasted for nearly 200 years.
While he was unquestionably a capable administrator, Trajan’s military successes account for the way his contemporaries and history hold him in high esteem. He excelled in the art of war, and his bravery and willingness to share in the trials and tribulations of his troops endeared him to them. Trajan set the standard by which future emperors were judged, and his reputation lasted so long that during the Middle Ages, Dante gave him a place in Heaven, something that was not done for other pre-Christian emperors.
Today, Trajan is remembered as one of the “Five Good Emperors,” a reference to the five emperors who ruled the Roman Empire between 96 and 180 CE (Nerva, Trajan, Hadrian, Antoninus Pius, and Marcus Aurelius). The term was first coined by Machiavelli and later adopted and popularized by historian Edward Gibbon, who said that under these men, the Roman Empire “was governed by absolute power under the guidance of wisdom and virtue.” This period of 84 years is generally regarded as the high point of the Roman Empire, at least after Augustus,
