Summary

He hesitated for a moment, looking like he was trying to figure out what he wanted. She took his hand in both of hers and pressed his hand to her head. "Ah, okay," he said, sighing slightly as he slowly ran his fingers over her hair, patting her gently over and over while she leaned against his bulk. It felt nice. She liked being petted. "I- I'll try and get us both out of here," he said. She wanted to believe him, but she had been here for so long that hope was dead. She nodded since it was the easiest thing for her to do. It wasn't like she could argue with him when she couldn't even speak and she didn't want to give him the impression that he could stop petting her. "Are you hurt anywhere?" he asked. When she looked up at him with a puzzled expression, he explained, "You smell like you're in pain." She blinked at him and took stock of her body. Pain was a familiar friend of hers. She was so used to the various aches and pains in her body and ignoring all of it. Eventually, she nodded. "Where?" he asked. She brought her hands to her breasts, and then between her legs. There were a lot more bruises and bite marks there. Men were rough with her because they knew that it didn't matter if they were. They weren't likely to see her again and even if they did, it wasn't like she could tattle on them. It felt nice He growled low in his throat and covered his face with his hands. "I'm sorry," he said. "I'm sorry. I'll- I'll make sure they pay," he said. He didn't know her. She didn't know why he was making her these promises that she knew he wouldn't be able to honor. He was as much a prisoner here as she was. Once the people who had paid for his capture came, then he would be gone and he would never have to see or think about her again.
